Filip Forsberg will make his NHL debut today. Late birthday, so he's the youngest player in NHL this year.

He played really well. Very mature. He'll get a lot of assists in a long NHL career imo.

Caps fans are going to torch McPhee for that trade, it feels so good to see them suffer over the crap they gave us in that Varly trade. Karma's a *****.

This just in from Bob McKenzie of TSN: “Hearing Craig MacTavish is new EDM GM and Scott Howson will be taking over MacTavish’s role. As per @TSNRyanRishaug, EDM fires Tambellini.”

Wow, did Lowe butcher that press conference. He insulted the fans of the team by saying that those that watch the game on tv are worth less. He got snippy with reporters bragging about his Stanley Cup rings as a player, as if that proved his competence as a president.

"Let's hire MacTavish as GM. That could never go wrong."

At least I salute the Oilers for daring to make a move. I'd like to see our impassive front office do something too. No point in keeping dead ducks in their seats, is there?

I heard once that Lowe wanted to draft Ryan Murray insted of Nail Yakupov and that was source of conflicts inside the organisation . Lowe's POV was that Edm had enough firepower upfront and they need help on the D. We know how it ended , Maybe Lowe and Tambelini were not on the same page anymore, from that day forward .

There have been rumors that MacTavish was brought back to replace Tambellini. So it's probably something that's been brewing for a while. They get rid of the face of the three straight 1st overall picks and the old boys club take over.

Flyers up 2-0 on the Habs. Good for us.

Game is getting very physical.

Ryan O'Byrne with his 2nd minor in the game. He hasn't quite reached the stars yet.

Nashville are very very bad at the moment. They might finish in the bottom three.

Tough spot for Therien. He pulled Price after just 10 minutes last game and now Price has let in five half way through the game. Can you pull him two games in a row?

Oh boy the journalists and some fans will start raising questions about Price

How did Zajac pull off that 8 year, $46 million contract?

Look at Devils C depth.

Solid postseason last year.

Couple of 60+point seasons few years ago.

He's still outshooting the opposition and that on-ice sh% is just over 5. Bound to improve. At least Devils fans hope so.

It's not that bad now but in 5 or 6 years...

This is what a 1b/2a center will bring under the new rules.

I don't think I'm the only one that'll say this; I am just hoping for a top 3 at this point.

At this point and the way things are going I do think we are looking at the 4th or 5th pick.

Nashville is just ****
Forget about Florida
Never discard Edmonton
Carolina is very iffy
NJ can't win a game for the life of them
Calgary is icing an AHL team
Tampa is within reach and not playing well
Philly won last night but were loosing regularly prior to that point
The way we are playing we could be picking up 6-7 points which would put us at 41-42 points
So if we pick 3-4 I will be very happy, anything ill be pretty upset after thinking we were guaranteed a top 3 pick before we picked up 6 points in the last 4 games.

Florida is playing worse than we were a couple weeks ago. My god... such a night and day difference from last season.
