Lets put it this way, if there were 3 Canadian teams in the Conference finals, a Canadian team still wouldn't win the cup.

Doubt it. None of the really elite teams (IMO) are Canadian right now. There's a few that are second tier and have a shot (Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa if they get their key players back), but there's a few teams above those teams (Pittsburgh, Boston, Chicago and possibly Anaheim).

Do you really believe that?

I don't think a Canadian team wins this year. If one does, it'll be an upset. There's a chance that 4 Canadian teams will make it in the East, but I don't see them getting passed Boston and Pittsburgh. Vancouver's struggled this year too, not sure I see them going deep unless they have a healthy Kesler and make some moves at the deadline.

No, I would hope the Canucks will do it but I have feeling we lose in the first round again this year. I hope I'm wrong.

However I hope the Islanders sneak into playoffs.

I'd give Canadian teams collectively a 30-35% chance. Majority of the rest goes to the last 4 cup champs - BOS, PIT, LA, CHI.

At least there is a chance of 5 Canadian teams making the playoffs. When was the last time this happened anyways?

No, though I do like Montreal to come out of the East I can't see them beating Anaheim or Chicago.

And every year a Canadian team wins it Lol, Who dominates this League? Canadians, L.A was dominated with Canadian Players, Before that Boston and they were dominated by Canadian players and Before that Chicago, before the Pittsburg and i can keep going....The team is located in the USA but its a bunch of Canadians on that Team that wins it.

And the reason Toronto cant win is because there team is filled with Americans and NCAA kids and its Hilarious, Canadians play with there Hearts and Canada is where you will find MOST of the best players in the World.

Habs roll through the Rangers, Devils and Pens to face the Ducks, who they beat in 6. Fasth falls apart.

Dude I know right! Also I can't wait for the WJC's this year so I can see Nugent-Hopkins and Strome dominate everyone! No one else has a chance!

An NHL team that is based in a Canadian city may win the Cup, but the city itself does not win the cup.

What's your point? Go look at the top scorers in NHL History and look at the top players In the game today there mostly Canadian or European, and who won the Olympics again? Oh wait whats the Americans longest WJC gold medal streak? Or how many have they won all together? It's Canada and Russia who have dominated the WJ so don't bring it up.Canada has most of the best players in the game today and Russia is next.
