Straight up.

Rationalize why please.

I hope this hasn't been here, quick search didn't find at least.

I'll give a definite no, rationalization being that my team's best player is Erik Karlsson.

I can't think of too many teams that would give up their best for the number 1.

Maybe it should be like "your 5th best player" or something like that? Maybe then you actually get into the realm where some teams (but not all) would vote yes?

I'm an Oilers fan. My team's best player is Sam Gagner.

Shea Weber? Pekka Rinne? Uhhhh no.

A better question would have been if teams would trade their top up & coming prospect.

No from a Leafs fan (Kadri)

Any one of Jones/Drouin/MacKinnon would be an incredible asset to add, but with Naz's emergence it's not worth the risk of them not panning out.

Lundqvist? No, but only because we'd have no goalie. Anyone else? In a flash. We suck.

Yeah, I'd trade Thornton for Mackinnon in a heartbeat, and I love Joe Thornton. Hell, I'd probably trade any Shark minus Burns.

Also, love the Kadri comment. Like hell you wouldn't trade Kadri for Mackinnon. Wait til Kadri starts experiencing shooting percentage regression, then I think you'll change your tune.

?

At least read his scouting report if you're going to make a comment like that.

Goalscoring is hardly his best asset. He's an excellent playmaker who creates at least one good scoring chance per game with his vision.

I'll take a developed and emerging Kadri over MacKinnon (who admittedly has shown he can be #1 center in this league). Just rather not take the risk, regardless of MacKinnon's upside.

I love Thomas Vanek, but the Sabres need to get younger, and could definitely use more speed. So Vanek for MacKinnon? I'd do it.

I guess it would come down to a Kadri vs Kessel debate. If it's Kessel (it isn't), I'd say yes.

If it's Kadri (it is), I'd say no.

I meant on-ice shooting.

Oh dear. Almost everyone in this thread is underrating Mackinnon and/or Jones and/or Drouin.
