I'm having serious trouble scoring in this new NHL. I swear, every game I play I outshoot my opponent by a fair margin and still barely win.

Two days ago I played against some random guy, dominated the whole game. Outshot him 23-9 and I lost 2-1

All-star. It gets easy to score once you pot a couple.

Try to to 45% degree cut or just get in to the slot somewhere between the red circles and fire a wrister top corner. 50/50 it goes in. Slapshots from the point are also better than last year and then there´s always the breakaway.

Nope. Captain cards are permanent, unless you trade or sell the player.

Anyone have tips on faceoffs? Its not going so well for me. Getting better, but slowly.

Does anyone else have a problem with getting in fights and the opposing player not getting a penalty? This happens to me about every other game. I really don't like having to kill off 5 minute penalties. Even gave me a major and a minor, making it a 7 minute penalty on one.

My most successful faceoff technique is to rotate the right analog stick either clockwise or counterclockwise starting from the top. Your guy will push into the other guy and turn to take the puck. It works for me far better than any other faceoff technique.

Same. And try switching between holding the bumpers/triggers while you do it. Adds a little something extra.

I've been doing both of these with a gradual improvement. Most games are around 50/50, then I played Boston and it was about 85/15. I'd rather not have to turn the faceoff difficulty down, either. Figure I'm doing something wrong.

man...finally played through my junior season (unfortunately with the age set too low) and got to play preseason with the team that drafted me (Islanders). First game on the third line with Clutterbuck. Anyway, stayed out for a long shift and made a nifty pass to Tavares for a goal. had a few assists and a couple goals in 4 preseason games, had the little news thing pop up and said it was virtually guaranteed I make the NHL roster. Saved game. played next day, back with the Voltagiers. or however you spell that. wtf man.

So they finally did a roster update. Great! Just downloaded it, haven't had a chance to see what they've done yet though.

Been a bit busy playing LTL. Finally got myself in the NHL roster and scored 1+2 in my debut and consecutive hatties in the next two games before we got our ***** kicked by the ****ing NJ Devils 6-1. Went -3 without scoring a point, and none of the minuses were my fault. In two cases, I had just gotten on ice and one was a fluke goal.

So why didn't you just PM the guy instead of making a useless post in this thread?
