I see the flashes of brilliance from him. He's not going to be Lidstrom, but I think he does have the ceiling of a top pairing defenceman. Only time will tell, but I do not think we will regret picking him.

This game isn't on Bryz. He gave up one bad goal in a 5-2 blowout. His defense is a joke. While I agree the contract they gave him was stupid, this isn't on him. They also have provided him with beer league backups in Leighton and Boucher who are useless outside of being the bench's garbage cans. He has to play every game because of this.
Yes Philly's defense is not there but he was brought in to be the franchise goalkeeper for like, a long time. He's not even a shadow of his PHX years. And that wraparound by Nash was horrific man comon! he just looks like he's not even in the game. People keep coming to his defense but he's a large part of why they suck. he is without a doubt on the moon. And yes i said Larsson belongs in Albany until he's strong enough and fast enough. Please don;t tell me we NEED him, fayne can do the same thing hes doing with less mistakes.

Epic game in Boston tonight.

Surprised to see Pandolfo out there (unsuccessfully) killing a 6-on-4 with a 1 goal lead in the final minute.

Its way too early but what we have seen thus far is huge disappointment.
I was hoping Huberdeau would fall to us.
Hamilton is clearly more polished and ready for the NHL at this point and seems to have much more hockey sense.
But,its too early

We should get new Euro scouts though.

Yeah nobody's a 'huge' dissapointment after two years. Personally, I think Larsson could develop into a Rafalski-type player. Maybe a little better defensively and not quite as good offensively. In other words an underrated defenseman most people around here hate once the draft pick shine wears off

He's still a puppy. I think folks around here are spoiled by players like Doughty and Myers that hit the ground running as 18-yr-olds.

Do you remember much about Suter or Weber's first few seasons? No, they were pretty quiet, but learning.

They really need to extend OT to 10 mins. Either just make it 10 mins, or the idea of 3 v 3 is interesting.

3v3 is awesome to watch.

Yeah, that's a good call. No way should that count.

I've wasted a lot of thought on how shootouts could be scrapped but could still avoid the dread of tie games, and I haven't come up with a single reasonable solution.

I think I'm just firmly now on the 10 minutes instead of 5, and 3-2-1 point system bandwagons.

For some reason I hate the idea of a 3 point system.

Another addition for OT, switch sides like a new period.

And the Habs win it.

Larsson was a reach that high. He's never dominated at any level nor does he have much offensive abilities.
He could be a solid guy for years but that high of a pick you want a dynamic difference maker.
