No need to hit Bailey on that play, he was beat and hit him from behind. That penalty was deserved.

I don't think he'll get suspended because of the refs call on the ice. If the refs didn't give a game misconduct and 5 min major, then I think he would be suspended. But who knows with Shanatard.

Kunitz hit Bailey with almost no force and from the side from more than 4 feet from the boards. How can Kunitz ever know the guy is going to stumble the next 4 feet and hit the boards funny? Guys are hit like that multiple times every game.

It's a call where the result gets you penalized, not your actual actions and calling penalties like that is silly, IMO. Same with suspensions being commensurate with how long the person you fouled is injured.

"Grabner on a breakaway."

We all know how that ends.

Oh look Grabner with a breakaway and he doesn't score. Grass is green, sky is blue, and Grabner can't score on a breakaway.

I can never understand why the Isles announcers even bother getting excited

1-0 Pens, please win.

Grabner would have 82 goals a season if he can score on a breakaway.

LOL Butch Goring "he went down like a banana peel"

Good stuff outta the pens. Big third period to kill off that early major and 5 on 3. Cooke had a huge game. So assuming they hang on that essentially cancels out the point the devils lost last night with respect to the isles (trying to be positive here). Now there's that game taken care of, lets see if the Habs can follow it up

can you imagine if someone taught grabner what to do one on one? he should train with someone who's good at breakaways in the offseason.

yes, we're not catching Pit so we need them to beat the teams right below us if we wanna make the playoffs.

is that anything like having a past faceoff master like oates coach your players on it or having gretzky head coach a team?

I never thought I'd say this but the Flyers need to somehow make a run at the eight seed (assuming the Devils can at least stay where they are). Someone needs to beat the Pens.

I don't want Kovy teaching him anything. That is, unless he signs with the Devils.

The pace, passing, puckhandling and urgency of some teams like Montreal and Toronto seem lightyears ahead of ours. Not sure statistically but definately aesthetically
