After 1 in Montreal, Rangers already losing by 2. They never play well in Montreal, and to go along with those lundvquist consussion rumors, Biron's starting tonight.

Torn on whether I want the Rangers to squeak into the playoffs or not. On one hand, the Pens kick the **** out of them on a regular basis. On the other hand, I never root for any particular playoff match-up. Conundrum for sure.

Same. My gut instinct says I wanna stay away from an Atlantic matchup in the first round. Even though the Pens are blowing away the division it would probably be a draining series.

I wouldn't mind them in the playoffs because its less likely that Philly makes it if NYR does. And they don't have a 1st rd. pick so we don't have to worry about that.

Crazy that a team with that much offensive talent is so bad at scoring goals.

As soon as Torts is gone they'll figure it out.

Panthers win another game coming from behind and scoring in OT.

17:17 left in the 1st, 3-0 Oilers. Schneider started, Luongo in for the 3rd goal.

Capitals 5 points behind Jets and have 2 games in hand. I'm telling you they're going win the division and take the 3rd seed. Going to go from out of the Top 8 all season to the #3 seed like that.

Their schedule looks pretty weak too.

Not sure what the stat line is now, but at one point Schneider/Luongo had 1 save on 5 shots. Taylor Hall with the hat trick.

The southeast division is yet again the worst in the league. How on earth is Winnipeg in first place with a -17 goal differential?

I'm convinced that one of the main goals of the realignment was to split up the Southeast division. So many people crying about Florida being in the Northeast division to accommodate the Atlantic division but it doesn't seem to occur to anyone that they want to split up those lousy teams in the Southeast just as badly.

Anyone worried if Philly/Washington manage to nab that 8th seed?

Hard to say. Every time this season that it looked like Washington and Philly would go on a roll they'd just end up falling flat on their faces.

And how did Lundqvist supposedly get concussed?

His own player ran into him a few games back, then in subsequent games took a few pucks off the mask.

No more worried than if the Devils fall to the 8th seed, or if the Rangers stay in the 8th seed. Any of those teams could give the Pens some trouble.

Though I will say that, on paper, I believe the Pens would have to defeat themselves to lose to any of the teams currently battling for the 7th or 8th seed. They'd need a defensive collapse/Fleury performance like last season for them to lose in Round One.

The teams I'd like to play the most are Carolina or Winnipeg, not because I think they're easier than the above mentioned. But, because if we DO stink the bed and get upset, those are two teams I wouldn't rage all summer over losing to. Being upset by the Caps, Flyers, or Rangers would leave a really foul taste in my mouth.

I saw that as well. I can't stop laughing at it.

As for possible match ups, I don't want to put bad luck on the Pens playoff hopes. So I'm not voice a preferred matchup.
