I don't think you need the sarcasm. Carolina desperately needs a better plan B for when Cam Ward goes down cause Peters & Ellis aren't helping.

Also, the Canes are high in the league on SOG and tonight is no different, 18-9. Of course both of Boston's goalies saw 40 shots last week, so possibly no worries to them.

I feel bad for the canes, such a good team hurt by injuries and now looking at a top 5 pick.

*Still feels weird for me knowing Jordan Staal isn't on the team*

5-0 Bruins

stop stop, they're already dead!

My fantasy team 2 goals, 2 assists, +6, just between two players. That's a bonus. Jeff Skinner & Jordan Staal have combined for -6

I will feel less bad for them when they get a top 5 pick. But yeah, Ward's injury seems to have just killed them.

Carolina looks legitimately terrible. I know any team can beat any team on any given night and all that crap but man...if the Pens squander two points tomorrow night I'll be totally disgusted.

Canes have made it 5-2. They've been better in the 3rd, still could've been scored on a few times though Ellis looks a bit better. But getting some chances too.

Almost 5-3 and the Bruins used their TO when it was 4-0 I believe
6-2

The 4 pages of the Rangers GDT spanning the minute of the Stepan and Kessel goals, OMG, I laughed so hard, I think I pulled something.

after reading this thread I went and read the Rangers GDT. If you just clicked on the link without knowing what game it was for, the thread RIGHT UP TILL the Stepan goal reads exactly like a Penguins thread.

"omg officials, jesus we never get any calls, dive dive dive, so hard playing 6-on-5, we'd be up by at least 4,000 goals if every call didn't go against us."

Their defense and goaltending without Ward is an attrocity. They are #1 pick bad right now. Not even the Manchuk will be able to bail them out if we play with any semblance of hustle and discipline. That said Staal and Skinner have been so badly snake bitten lately I expect both to have 3 point nights minimum. It is the way of things.

I've never seen fans complain more about reffing and diving in my life. If anything Pens fans complain non-stop about our own players.

I wonder what Jordan Staal is feeling right now. It's got to be such a culture change to go from making the playoffs every year of your career - including 2 Finals appearances and 1 Cup - to now playing on a lottery team. Not that the Pens didn't go through plenty of struggles of their own but Staal never had to go through any of that.

He's probably thinking "I'm sure glad my brother is here to drink with after a tough loss."

This losing streak they're on is taking it's toll though. Yesterday Skinner almost lost his ****ing mind arguing with / yelling at a ref after being warned about something. I don't even think he got a penalty but he was furious. Never seen him like that. He's usually got a smile on his face. Probably tired of taking 6 shots a game, coming up empty and posting a -3 because the defensive pairing is so bad he ends up trying to defend the net on scrums. Maybe Shero can make an offer this summer if Iggy doesn't stay. Orpik and Jeffrey for Skinner. Has a great cap hit through 2019.

At first I wanted to feel sorry for Carolina with all their injuries, but then I remembered who is on our IR and suddenly I lost all sympathy for them.

It's early, but J. Staal's not exactly doing a good job of proving the doubters about his upside wrong.

Dater is giving out quotes from Giguere on his team's loss tonight:

JS Giguere: "Some guys care more about their trip to Vegas at the end of the season than playing the games"

...more to come he says.

Also, Anaheim beats Edmonton and the Canucks blank PHX in Kesler's return which means several teams out West breath a sigh of relief. But it's pretty obvious if some of them want those last spots, it's getting to now or never time.

When do we every really complain? And when are we actually wishing harm, or openly let everyone know how glad we are a hated member of a rival team went down with an injury?

We're better fans for the most part. Proud to be part of this group.
