Wow... I just saw a clip of that Stralman dive. Jesus... That was Sean Avery-like.

This losing streak they're on is taking it's toll though. Yesterday Skinner almost lost his ****ing mind arguing with / yelling at a ref after being warned about something. I don't even think he got a penalty but he was furious. Never seen him like that. He's usually got a smile on his face. Probably tired of taking 6 shots a game, coming up empty and posting a -3 because the defensive pairing is so bad he ends up trying to defend the net on scrums. Maybe Shero can make an offer this summer if Iggy doesn't stay. Orpik and Jeffrey for Skinner. Has a great cap hit through 2019.
Probably. I didn't mean to imply that he was regretting moving on though that may be how it came out. I just mean that so many players have said that once you start winning it's harder and harder not to win and therefore I'd think it would sting quite a bit to not make the playoffs for the first time in his career.

Also, Anaheim beats Edmonton and the Canucks blank PHX in Kesler's return which means several teams out West breath a sigh of relief. But it's pretty obvious if some of them want those last spots, it's getting to now or never time.
Wow, good for him. That franchise has become a joke after Sakic retired. I know he works for the team now but it's time to make him President and get rid of some of the clowns they have in place now.

I have no idea how Colorado's coach has kept his job this long.

I was hoping Phoenix would win. There is a team or two at the bottom of the western standings that I'd get a small amount of schadenfreude from seeing them knocked out.

Not only coach Sacco but both recent GM's Francois Giguere and Greg Sherman have done horrible jobs

Look at this year they couldn't even add draft picks when they're the worse team in the league. All they got was a 4th in 2014 for Ryan O'Byrne. They could have moved Hejduk and been more aggressive, move Kobasew, the trade for Erik Johnson was horrible Stewart and Shattenkirk, traded their 1st rounder for Varlamov

Just horrible, sometimes I wonder how the hell these guys get jobs in the NHL

Also they continue to hold onto underperforming players (Stastny #1 guy who should have been moved for assets)

Also should not have matched the ROR offer sheet since it puts them in horrid spot in summer of 2014 (Have to qualify him at high rate again or he becomes UFA)

Wouldn't they have receive the Calgary pick as well since they ****ed up or something like that. Anyways they could have potentially had the 2 top picks in this year's draft had they let ROR go which they waited 2 months anyways at that point they should have

Matching the O'Reilly offer sheet was just idiotic, which should be expected from that regime in Denver.

Giving Gabe Landeskog the C was a huge mistake.

19 year old european kid with the keys the franchise with a roster full of pieces and other misfits.

Here's hoping that the Habs, Jets and Islanders all win tonight. Want to see Rangers lose that play-off spot.

Amen brother!
We win tonight and the Atlantic is clinched and we have at least #2 in the Eastern Conference.

I want to see that, or I want to see them surge their way up to the 5th seed and play the Bruins in the first round. Over a 7 game series, those two teams would beat the living crap out of each other.

I'd like to see Rangers get the Habs or the Bruins if they get in. They really don't match-up well against the Habs at the Bell Center.

Actually a good possibility we could be playing the Senators in the first round. If they don't fall out of the playoffs completely .

Ovechkin just took the lead in goals. I don't think he is going to give it back up either.

He was MIA for 1/2 the season gets hot and now he is a mvp candidate. Sickening. Crosby is still 12 points up with 5 less games.

There has to be a happy medium this time of year between calling penalties for any contact and allowing tackle football. Watching Caps/Habs. Some of the stuff refs have watched is pretty bad.

EDIT: Canadiens score, ensuring EN opportunity for 8.
