I think we are going to get whomped on for some reason.

Think Bordy and Thornton will fight?

Thornton probably don't want to, but if he has to he'll do it. Remember he got concussed in a fight last year and Bordeleau is a legitimately scary guy.

Don't like our chances if we're getting jiggy with it.

I'm not entirely convinced that Giguere will be able to bail out the defensive breakdowns like Varlamov has.

I also most likely won't have confidence in this team winning games until they make the playoffs. I like the team, and I said before the season that I can see them making the playoffs, but when it comes down to each individual game, I feel like they'll lose.

I think one thing is for sure though, Roy will be keeping these guys hungry.

Yeah, I'm a little nervous as well.

One thing I find a little funny (not with your statement) is that there were a number of people last year who wanted the Avs to bench Varlamov and make Giguere the starter...imagine if we did this year after seeing Giguere in Pre-Season action? (I know it's only pre-season but it didn't really inspire confidence)

Pretty tough stretch of games I probably would have preferred maybe Dallas, but really there's no "easy" game until the Buffalo game and they need to get him in somewhere.

Also anyone want to step up and tell us how you thought Roy would play Giguere 60 games? Guess you thought because he's French and Roy is French he would ruin the team to have his French brother play?

Yeah, he would need a shutout to outperform Varly.. I bet we're going to have to let 2 or 3 goals in

It will be a great test. Boston is a bad ass MoFo team, so I will be curious to how the Avs take that level of physicality.

Great test for MacKinnon in that department as well.

I just want a hard effort from this team. Something that says we're improving. If we lose, fine. Boston is a really good team. If they beat us then I want it to be because Boston just out classed us in every way. I'm not sure what to think of Jiggy taking this game though. Should be interesting. And I'd love it if Wilson was back for this game, I remember when he took down Chara in that 1-0 game two seasons ago.

Giggy in net = Loss I suspect.

Would be awesome to go 4-0 and give Boston there first L, but I don't think it happens.

Gonna go with a 4-1 Loss.

Ginner with our only goal.

The streak has to end sometimes.
And with Giguere in net against the Bruins (top4 team in the league) , I don't envision us leaving Beantown with the two points.

I just hope that our guys show up and maintain their recent level of play.
If they go down fighting, I will be happy.

MacKinnon scores his first, and fights Chara immediately after.

If we lose I want the PP to get 2 goals and look good doing it.

We will score 1 goal based on our pattern to date (6-3-2-1). After this we'll be shut out of every game

Lack of goals is somewhat a concern I'm beginning to have. Not enough skilled goals being scored, I mean a goal is a goal but very few good passing plays leading to goals.

Hoping for another breakout game. Any chance Boston doesn't play Rask?

I think the Avs match up good against speedy teams like the Leafs, but it will be interesting to see how they match up against big teams like the Bruins.

Boychuk back on the pp so that means he'll get at least 2 against us.

Big physical teams with skill have been the bane of the Avalanche in the Sacco erase. This is another test.
