Rankings are rankings. Mayock is very good but isnt the definitive word.

Looks like they project Brown for OLB. Maybe he has cooties. Bostics numbers are comparable to Brown and is an MLB.

Walterfootball had Bostic going as pick 57 to the Texans in their mock that was updated today after the first round was completed.

Well, at least Bostic played in the Jr. NFL. I wonder how he played in his games against Bama & UGA, and other top opponents.

Bostic is projected as OLB as well

To slow for MLB ,, Also struggles to shed blockers

Emery and his team obviously have a different set of criteria than most teams...for the sake of my mental health I hope their picks come to fruition.

Really?

As one of the top inside linebacker prospects in the nation out of high school, Bostic had his choice of destinations. He arrived in Gainesville a semester early,...

STRENGTHS Downhill Mike linebacker attacks lanes in the run game, often running through reach-blocks to get to his target. Immediately presses with hands on contact with good pad level to create space to work

NFL Network draft profile for Bostic

Quote:
Weaknesses
Thickly built chest and shoulders but quickness is lacking. Won't be able to makes wasted moves after first step due to lack of burst. Has difficulties consistently get off better offensive lineman blocks and can be stiff-armed by longer ballcarriers. Hits with shoulder too often against the run, allows him to get sucked into offensive lineman's block rather than being able to make a play on the football. Overrun plays at times, lacks elite change of direction ability to recover. Closing speed to the ball is average, quicker ballcarriers elude his advances through the hole and mobile quarterbacks can run away from him. Almost gallops in the open field, won't catch pro backs and receivers from behind without help. Cut blocks at the second level give him issues. His eyes move faster than his feet can in terms of diagnosing the play and reacting.
Exacty opposite type of LB the Bears need

Oh and his upside is Andra Davis

Bears ignore WR and TE

Bears have horrid depth at WR behind Marshall

- Jeffrey has shown flashes but still has a lot of development to go (And needs to stay healthy)

- Bennett is always injured

No one else of worth on roster at WR

TE we have Bennett and that's it

Should have swapped mid-round picks for Bess.

True

Would have been great move by Bears but they couldn't match Browns early 2nd

Agree with the tight end we have a good catching great blocker for a starter and a pure blocker as back up and people wonder why I don't think we'll utilize our TE position offensively fully.

Ozzy Newsome is a savvy, savvy GM. He, Thompson, Baalke, Reese, and Colbert are the cream of the crop.
