Philadelphia IS Boston Strong

http://thehockeywriters.com/philadel...boston-strong/

My take on last night's game. Not so much the actual play, but how the city, its fan's, its team, and its management stepped up to show that Philadelphia IS Boston Strong. Please share this piece. I want us to show our continued support.

Bruin's fan here.

The pre game was very sweet. Thank you and it made me cry.

I have ST in Boston and it has been a very emotional and difficult time.

The kind words and support have been amazing.

Now that a little time has passed and I have calmed down (somewhat) after my Bruins disintegrated on your ice, I want to say this.

I was really moved, not only that the organization played its signature theme song with Lauren Hart as a tribute, but also that she was accompanied by Kate Smith on the jumbotron. You offered the full-monty, the "real thing", the 100% Flyers good luck charm. That didn't go unnoticed by old geezers such as myself.

I go back to the days when her live performance was the single, most important factor in your winning the 6th game and the Stanley Cup against the Bruins in 1974.

Gosh, another reason why I think hockey has the greatest fans and players in all of professional sports.

Thanks for the kinda words, Bostonians.

I just found the video to the pre-game ceremonies and posted it in my article. Gave me chills all over again.

The way the Flyers organization and fans reacted made me very proud to be a Flyers fan!
