These two will most likely be leading* their team's top line for the next decade. It's simple, who would you take?
Seguin has played 100 more games than Kadri. He definitely has proven more in the league, up to this point. Kadri has shined in his first real season albeit being only 30 or so games in. This thread isn't meant to hype his start, but to gauge how the perception of his potential has changed.
There was a thread that asked if Kadri was a blue-chip prospect and it was 4 pages of people just hating. All I want to do is see how far he has come from that point by comparing him to a player who was/is considered to be blue-chip... add in the fact that these 2 teams are division rivals and I think think this is a solid comparison.
whether there are threads about kadri or not people will ridicule him either way... he's the Leafs best player, it's going to happen. I really want to see the difference in opinion between these two. Either way, it will be interesting to come back to a thread like this 2-3 years from now.
Should probably wait until Kadri plays even a half season in the NHL first before comparing to a player who has 200+ NHL games under his belt. I have no problem with Leafs fans being excited about him but pump the brakes because there are quite a few examples of Leafs players not turning out to be nearly as good as Leafs fans thought they were going to be.
