I never thought I'd say this, but Kadri. It's close though.

-I don't see the compete level in Seguin like I do in Kadri.

-Seguin plays like he's allergic to body contact. Kadri has no fear, and throws the body around pretty reguarly.

-Seguin seems like he's streaky and inconsistent. Kadri has been nothing BUT consistent since he made the switch to C.

I'll take Kadri the center over Seguin the winger

Kadri is a good player, but is getting crazy luck in both personal and on ice shooting %

Unless he's as good of a goal scorer as Stamkos, and a better play maker than Crosby, both these numbers will come down causing his numbers to come down as well

Kadri. Better defensively, offensively and plays center.

his shooting % is usually around 15%. Its not that far off, unlike Kunitz's, which is at 27% right now

But theres honestly no rush when our team is so good haha.
players don't suddenly get switched from wing to center 4 or 5 years into their careers

especially when they have success on the wing

Seguins speed and shot is what makes him a prototypical winger

if the Bruins had plans for him to play at center he would be there already

How many games (not highlights) have you watched of Kadri? Clearly none, and by making a post like this you are proving your ignorance.

Leads his draft class (including Tavares) in points, leads the Leafs in points, is over PPG, physical player with an edge, some of the best hands in the league, great hockey IQ, exceptional passing, underrated shot, improving defensive game...

But you provided a great response, tons of proof and a valid argument!

Tissue soft 60ish pt winger who's being carried by his hardworking linemates vs. physical ppg center who's carrying his whole team.

not really close, tbh.

I'm tired of Seguin getting the benefit of the doubt. He's got his chance, be the best player on his line. Make your coach move you to center and stand and deliver. He's not playing better than Kadri.

I honestly don't get what people see in seguin.

he's fast but not elite fast.

he's got a good but not elite shot.

he's got good but not elite hands.

his shies away from the physical stuff completly, and his compete level is questionable at best.

Nothing jaw-droppingly impressive about his skillset, with some major weaknesses to boot.

am i missing something with this kid? Why do people seem to think he's an automatic superstar?

Coudn't agree more! I always felt that Seguin got the benefit of the doubt just cuz he developed and made an impact quicker. But Kadri has much better intangibles, heart, and is having a better rookie year.

To be fair zeke watching Seguin blow by Gardiner last night from half ice was quite impressive. Kadri did it a few times also though, got himself a goal.

I'm bookmarking this thread, so in a couple of years when Seguin is a superstar and when Kadri is a second liner, Leafs fans will look ridiculous.

Guess we have our next Kadri thread then. Kadri Vs Tavares.

Let the kid play more than 1 season with these numbers before you start comparing him to some of the best talent in the NHL...that's Tavares ceiling. Kadri is having a great season but don't start comparing him to players he's not in contention with.

Chose Seguin as Seguin has proven more over a number of years and it's not his fault he was drafted onto the Bruins with their amazing center depth. Almost any other team he'd most likely be playing C right now not wing.

honest question - what about Seguin's game tells you he's going to be a superstar?
