Maybe Feaster is asking too much and Morrow was plan B for Pitts/Bos?

I would go nuts if we got TT and feel like a HUGE wrong was righted. Imagine getting him and then drafting Barkov.

I'm not convinced Iggy would now be impossible for PIT to acquire...even with Shero having used SOME of his best assets to land Morrow.

If I were Feaster..Id be tempted to wonder if PIT might be even MORE interested in Iggy at this juncture.

I also think this helps Iginla's value. Most Pens fans on here said they wouldn't do Morrow for Iginla straight up as a rental. This deal will set the bar for Iggy and he will command significantly more. Also keep in mind that Morrow was arguably the Pens top prospect. With the lack of top available players out there and with Perry locked up, Ignla is going to fetch a very nice return.
I agree, actually. I don't think this takes Pittsburgh out of the Iginla chase, and can only raise Iginla's value in the coming week. That said, I really hope Feaster doesn't end up asking for too much and missing the boat.

Not that big on Tervainen. His numbers this year are pretty much what Granlund posted last year. I haven't seen him play but just kind of screams 'meh' to me. I would want additional pieces.

Damn it would be awesome! Teräväinen plays for my favorite team and has been one of the teams best players in the playoffs. Source for this please? Im going nuts too!

It was posted in the Morrow trade threa (30+ pages long) so I won't find it but the latest rumor is it is B.Morrow for J.Morrow + 1st + another pick. This shows how few sellers there are, this is our year we can seriously retool.

You have to remember Granlund played with his brother last year and threw off his numbers, TT isn't a blue chipper but is another good prospect to have not to mention he can play both RW and C so he will fill a need in either spot.

All this move says to me is that the Pens are loading up to go all in. They'll likely still be a major player.

I don't think we'll miss the boat. Better to set the asking price high this far away, and you can always settle for the best available offer out there deadline day.

Been a flames fan since 86, were u born then? Also hv an Iginla jersey. But he mailed it in on the road trip and wants out so he can hit the road. One of my all time favorites but I,m not living in the past.

I actually watched live games with MacDonald, Peplinski, etc. We,ll get over Iggy leaving, trust me

Yup.

This is hilarious.

But I do hope Feaster and co. don't find a way to screw this up. Flames could be setting themselves up big time for a huge play.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't think it's not possible, I just think it would be a larger package and we'd have to send a little more the other way. TT is a higher valued prospect, surely would be great to have.

Based on the Morrow (x2) trade, it would seem as if though we'll get at the very least a good prospect and considering how much better Iginla is, a 1st round pick, no doubt. For me, that's a decent return, and anything else on top of that is welcomed!

I'm hoping for Khokhlachev + 1st, I think I would look good in a Bruins jersey.

Looks like age is catching up, huh? That's too bad...

Edit: btw, I'm not disagreeing with you entirely, I just hate when guys use their age as a reason to why they are right. Iginla clearly looks like he is tired of this team, but he is not lacking heart by any means, he has been one of the few putting actual effort into most of these games.

I disagree, having watched Morrow for 3+ years the kid is going to be a star, he has maybe the deadliest slapshot in the AHL and could very easily become a top 2 defenseman.

I want more than that after seeing Morrow (3rd liner) land a top prospect.

Khokhlachev + Spooner/Caron/Subban (one of them), 1st 2013.

Well I can't argue with you, I have seen very little of both, just based on what I've read.

Like I said, anything added would be awesome, I would simply be content with a Khok/1st return.

This should be the return at minimum now. Things just got a whole lot more interesting.

Don't care if you were around when hockey was first played Iginla was one of our best players on the road trip and certainly didn't mail it in saying that just lowers my opinion of you.
