Vernon Wells to NY

Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS
Yanks, angels are indeed in serious talks involving vernon wells, as @JeffPassan reported

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan
Sources: Yankees in talks with Angels for outfielder Vernon Wells. Lots of money would go back to New York. Deal could be done today.

They need bats but not Wells. At least Youkilis is being productive.

So much for the Brennan Boesch experience

Only way this happens is if LA-Anaheim-Sacramento-Compton eats nearly all of Wells contract.

Would rather have given up a good prospect for Soriano.

@Buster_ESPN: Sources say the NYY's share of the Vernon Wells contract will be about $13 million over the last 2 years of his deal.
This is the worst move Cashman has ever made.

More than I thought. I figured they'd pay around five. Angels will probably get a D prospect as well
