I hope so too, now if only Parise or if Toronto gets eliminated tomorrow (Kessel/JVR) accept, I like this team's chances of winning a medal.

Any idea where Galchenyuk will be slotted -- what line, centre or wing?

Given the time that's elapsed I'm guessing Parise is a no go.

Any word out of St. Louis?

I'd imagine he'll be at either center or left wing on the second line, replacing Leblanc or Butler respectively.

Galchenyuk started the season in the OHL. Played 33 games and left for the World Juniors. Won gold. Lockout ended and he went from the WJHC to the Canadiens training camp. Made the team and played all 48 games and the playoffs. Now he's going to the World Championships. That's a crap load of hockey.

What does that second line look like? Kristo on it?

Fantastic news.

How many more slots do we have open?

For some reason I feel like we only have one.

Yep, only one left. It's too bad Parise isn't on that plane with Gally.

That's a nice pickup, I really like his game and his skill set should be a nice addition for our team on the international ice.

Great! Hopefully the group that's there now can win the game tomorrow against Germany and have everyone ready and with a practice under their belt for Slovakia on Tuesday.

Oshie is a big add, also nice to see a guy using this to help make his case for the Olympic team, as you have to think that is a big reason he jumped at this.

Two great additions.

Galchenyuk and Oshie were .56 and .67 point per game guys this year, which I believe puts them first and third on the team in Pts/G from this season with Stastny at 2nd with .6.

I just hope Sacco doesn't mess with the Stastny line and feel as if he needs to put Oshie and Gally with Stastny.

I hope not.

I'd like to see a viable second line. I'd ideally like to see

Butler-Galchenyuk-Oshie

But I think we'll see Galchenyuk on the wing, perhaps:

Galchenyuk-Leblanc-Oshie

Oshie and Galchenyuk together will be fun to see. Maybe add in Kristo and have oshie-galch-kristo for a great energetic line.

I'm Canadian but rooted for USA at the WJC and will be rooting for you guys this time at the WC. Hope to see some great play from Galchenyuk!

I'd have no problems with that bottom line. Yeah I'm biased, but I think LeBlanc has played well this tourney.
