Only I was in the building that night for the Habs game. I doubt it was as loud the other night as that game. Another favorite BOOring moment on the PP was one against St Louis late in 09/10. The one where we were losing 1-0 for most of the game and couldn't tie it on a double minor, and lost 1-0. The one where Parise, and Langenbummer said they weren't happy with us booing!

I might not do that now that I drive to games and it's a fairly easy drive, but saving an hour on the train when I was taking that was different.

I did not remember the St. Louis game but to be fair I wasn't at that game or didn't even watch it.

So no Fayne again? How does that make sense?

I'm not saying it's not unconscionable that it's gotten to this point with Fayne, but let's be fair about two things:

A) Fayne's been awful since they started merry-go-rounding him
B) Nobody's been bench-able lately. Harrold had the one bad game but otherwise has been fine and we kinda need him now without Kovy on the point. Sal and Volch have been good since their 'rest'.

I agree that Fayne wasn't great before he got benched, but I think we are gonna need to play solid, near perfect d in order to win games without Kovy. I trust Fayne way more in his own end than Zids or Harrold, so I think he is better suited to be in the next few games. One turnover that leads to a goal will BURN us and probably lose us the game. I doubt we score more than 2 goals often over this Kovy-less stretch. We need excellent d play and Marty in beast mode.

There's less than zero chance they bench Zidlicky now without Kovy to QB the PP, since they weren't benching him before Kovy went down. And Zidlicky hasn't been bad recently anyway.

Greene-Larsson
Salvador-Fayne
Volchenkov-Harrold/Zid

is what I'd prefer. Just seems way more solid. Eh whatyagonnado? Don't care as long as we win.

They've pretty much done that since Tallinder got hurt. Unfortunately I think Tallinder himself gets back on the merry-go-round before Fayne does, but I don't think Pete's going to make any changes on D at 'this' point, until either someone gets themselves benched, or we get in a comfortable playoff position.

Ottawa has a lot more than us to complain about injury wise. I don't want to hear the crying about Kovy. These next couple games show what this team is really made of. It starts tonight. Guys need to step up.

Ottawa has already proven to be more consistent without their top talent than NJ has. It's gonna be a rough game.

I'm dedicating this game to a friend of mine who've I've known for 10+ years who past away yesterday. Hopefully the Devils can win the game for him. Was a big fan.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice 13m

Pre-game warm-ups under way for Devils-Senators at Scotiabank Place. It will be Martin Brodeur (NJ) vs. Mr Posturepedic Pads (OTT) in the nets.

Oh great not him again!

Most Sens Fans consider Lehner the better goalie I don't remember the last Sens-Devils game thou maybe Bishop was really good that game?
