Way to blow it, Leafs. At least no ROW.

Awful shootout effort from Toronto. Kadri looked like a moron on that one.

Abysmal shootout effort by the Leafs. This isn't NHL 13. Trying to put a million moves on the goalie is only going to hurt yourself.

I think the Rangers are making the playoffs, unless they seriously screw up (looking at their remaining games). Other than the huge game on Saturday, they don't play a team in a playoff position

I only saw the OT and shootout of the rangers game. Wow, Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti exaggerate Lundqvist's saves. Those 3 saves "out of this world", not impressed.

First shot was in his glove, and he didn't catch it.
Second shot was right at him and he didn't have to move.
Third shot hit off McDonagh's knee into Lundqvist's blocker.

How are those unbelievable saves? I don't get it.

Hopefully the Isles take advantage of the Bruins tomorrow. Look at the way they've played! They must be tired.

Gotta say the bruins effort is really not impressive...to have a 4-0 lead and then take your foot of the gas and let the devils get to within a goal is amateur hour. They only mustered 18 shots on net. Their effort on that major PP was horrific. I don't think they even registered a shot on it. They'll be tired from playing tonight...IMO ripe for the picking tomorrow.

Toronto isn't that good a team. They had a dreadful time in the dzone coverage. Leaving guys open in the slot, double teaming a single ranger behind the net. They never paid for it, but they weren't impressive in the slightest. Reimer was also not great, he left many rebounds.

I know we have a game at hand but I agree the Jets are making me more nervous than the devils are.

Fully agree, even though Lundqvist did have a great game, the calls are way overblown. Sam has his moments calling the play but his homerism is gagworthy. Maybe it's because I'm not a NYR fan

I thought Micheletti was ok when he was here but when he went to the Rangers, it sounded like he was trying to fit in too hard and just comes off so generic and obvious.

Is it just me or is anyone else so engulfed in the playoff race that they can't even concentrate on work anymore? I always want to be reading or watching something that involves hockey.

...if we go 4-4 over our last 8 games, it would give us 52 points. For the Jets to tie us, they need to get 10 out of a possible 14...not impossible but not likely.

...and Jersey would need to pick up 53 to overcome their awful ROW record. So that means they need to get 13 points in 8 games...seeing how they are playing right now, I just don't see it.

If we can go .500, or even 5-3 the rest of the way, we have a damn good chance of seeing the first playoff appearance since we all crapped our pants on Easter Sunday 6 years ago.

Makes me feel better seeing it that way but I'm just going to be nervous until there's an "x" next to our name in the standings.

It's even worse that I'm working nights lately and I have no way of checking scores until I leave so the entire time I'm standing there freaking out haha.

It's better than that because if the Caps fall a bit (also 44 pts now) and the Jets pass us it wouldn't matter as the Jets would take the 3rd seed.

Our chances of making the playoffs are strong, but we must get at least the 7th seed to have a shot at the second round. Stranger things have happened (like 20 years ago) but even with their injuries the Pens are scary deep.

This is a great race.
