There are 3 more spots.

I think the 3 final spots will be open until the end of the 1st round in the NHL.(Datsyuk, Voynov, Tarasenko, Ovechkin)

Good. It's only one game and against Latvia(Latvians may forgive me. It's no arrogance, just proper asessment) though. But he has linemates you hardly can fail with. I think he'll be alright and prove every stupid critic in Russia wrong. Should Detroit fail though he'll probably have to let that guy named Datsyuk take his spot unless Bill decides to spark Perezhogin and Popov with a superstar center like last year.

I'm sure he would be there but can't be due to the concussion and other injuries that he played with for at least the last third of this season. He should rest up and heal completely for next year. IMO it's foolish for anyone to play with injuries.

Yak should be there IMO.

Same with Kulemin (I like him a lot) but he's under performing in the NHL still and in WC wasn't noticeable.
Some believe that most Russians are overrated. Sad realism for the sport in NA and reflects the common hockey fan's mentality. They have tried to and will continue to try to crush the kids enthusiasm. He will be one of the best. Mark it!

This being said, this can be interpreted in different ways. It is possible that Bill is so confident in Bobrovsky now that he doesn't see any reason to play him. And he reiterated recently his desire to test out Bryzgalov who might still be useful.

So, Yakupov shouldn't be on the team because of how he played in WJC? Mmk...you've lost all credibility.

You accuse Bllyaletdinov of lying bending his words as you please. Who is "throwing around retarded accusations" (your words) here?

Russia has room for 2 forwards and one defender.

Ottawa leads by 3-1 against Montreal which would mean Yemelin for WC?

Anaheim 2-2 Detroit, where the red wings have won 2 overtime games, meaning 2 goals from having lost 4-0. I guess Anaheim will take it 4-2 now and that would make Datsyuk available.

Surprisingly the Islanders have made the Penguins work and have tied 2-2 and the series can end either way. If there was any doubts that Russia would lose the gold this year, they will dissapear for sure when Malkin joins the championship.
