why.... Why homer has to make a move at every trade deadline. Just keep the same team for a whole year for god sake..

Exactly. One of their D-men.

Maybe even Niemi

There is no way we should be trading Giroux, B. Schenn, L. Schenn, Simmonds, Voracek, Couturier, Laughton, or Grossmann in my opinion. I would only consider trading Couts or Laughton if we were to receive a potential #1 dman in return. I might even add Ghost in that group as well.

As a Leafs fan, I can understand how some of you guys are feeling. This is the exact same **** we felt when there were Luongu to Leafs rumors for Kadri + Gardiner. I can say how glad we are that we held onto to our important youth players with big time potential and didn't make the trade.

Did you see him play in the NCAA tourney. He was unreal, the game against BC everything he touched turned to gold. That penalty he got in the Q-Pac game was complete BS and should have been no more than 2 min.

Jaime McBain

per Darren Dreger- Jamie McBain's name has surfaced in trade market. Carolina sounds open to options on return. 25 year old will attract offers.#tradecentre

If the Flyers are looking to make a move its obvious that Defense is the biggest need and McBain would fit a big need of ours and young... Question is what would we have to give up in return to acquire Mcbain?

I mean I would add him into the "untouchable" group. Sorry if the way I wrote that was confusing.

Since we are considering Coots for Clowe, Why not just throw Giroux at them?

I'm going to buy Homer a Bobrovsky Poster, and mail it to you and ask him to hang it right in front of his Phone.

would the Holmgren supporters back Holmgren on a Clowe for Couts deal which would be mind blowingly ****ing stupid.

I don't think he should be untouchable, I just don't think we should throw him in a trade unnecessarily. Especially with him being one of the best (if not the best) D prospect in our system. We don't want to just throw him away when we can throw any number of our AHL forwards in the trade to sweeten the pot.

I'm sure just as quickly as the Holmgren haters will bash him on deals only rumored about.

Sure Homer, trade for Clowe. It's not like they don't already have Hartnell, Simmonds, McGinn, and Knuble that play a similar role. Couturier for Clowe would be absolutely horrible asset management, but it would also leave us with only two centers on the roster. Don't believe this for a second.

I feel like this is just the hf rumor mill spinning out of control. Not even Homer is stupid enough to deal Couts for Clowe. He knows what Iginla was traded for. Yes Iginla is way older but he also scores more than Clowe. The NTC kills the Sharks ability to deal as well. If he locks onto philly it'll be like when we traded Gagne.
Homer isn't dumb enough to deal vital pieces. Maybe another 2nd gets thrown in but not core guys.

Right...because it's not like Homer has a history of stupid moves.

It would be especially thrilling when we trade our first for Clowe, before trading him away for a lesser return in the offseason.

but thats ok. draft picks are overrated on HF. HF posters are the only ones that value them.

I have zero faith in this front office anymore. Absolute zero. Can they ever for once think of the future and build a team the right way? Is that much to ask for?

Someone needs to steal Homer's Blackberry for the next 80 hours.

He could cripple our future by trading for guys like Clowe and Bouwmeester. I would like both of those guys, but not at the price I fear it would cost.
