I know I've brought this topic up in "the rink" and it may have been mentioned here in the past.
For those who play beer league or college or even high school, what are your thoughts on energy drinks before games? I know they're not good for you with the high sugar and caffeine content but I seem to be mentally dependent on them. I'm convinced I play better if I use them. I know they're unhealthy but can I get away with it?

Since we're all bandwagoners, Man U is as good a choice as any.

Pick Man U if you also 'love' the Yankees, Cowboys, Lakers, and Red Wings.
Pick Man City if you also 'love' the Red Sox, Packers, Bulls, and Blackhawks.

Thanks for all the advice/tips! I actually have one of those neck pillow things so I'll be sure to bring it along. I use it when I have to take Amtrak. I only wish it wasn't pink

What if you love the Pens? That seems relevant to this group.

My dad was a big Newcastle fan back in the day. Alan Shearer.

I don't like the Yankees or Sox. I hate the Cowboys and Packers. I don't watch basketball. And I don't like Detroit or Chicago. I like the Penguins, Steelers and Pirates. I don't have a second favorite team in any sport.

What now?

Rivalry games are easy to get into; maybe a club will stand out if you can catch one of these:

As Bigs mentioned Man U vs. Man City, Tottenham vs. Arsenal, Liverpool vs. Chelsea...

If none if these seem appealing you can always pick the club with the coolest kit
Arsenal looks good

I like Tottenham Hotspur as well.

I'm starting to think about changing my 'pays the bills...sorta' job into one of the most mind-numbing jobs imaginable - an extra.

Where else can you get paid to stand around and not talk?

So....anyone else drinking tonight?

I think it was in anticipation of a disheartening Game 7 that I had already wanted to drink tonight. It's a celebration, I say!

You've angered me. I haven't talked with a girl since 2004. I need to pickup the phone. Sometimes I wonder who I am. Like who I used to be and what I am now or whatever. I don't know anyone like me or anyone at all, I guess. I miss boobs. This is why I play Civ V.

You don't think there are going to be attractive women on film sets?

It is/was streaming on iTunes...listened to it in it's entirety three times last night and am loving it.

It's no Discovery, but I don't think anyone can expect that. It's a huge improvement over Human After All and it's unfair to compare a real album to a movie soundtrack.

I think my favorite track right now is, unsurprisingly, the Panda Bear collaboration - Doin' It Right. Giorgio by Moroder is also brilliant.

I posted this in the Daft Punk thread on the Entertainment board.
