BRODEUR CHIDES SNOW
Martin Brodeur, in his new weekly column in Le Journal de Montreal on Tuesday, took a few shots at Garth Snow regarding the new rules with goalie equipment. "Garth Snow keeps adding pieces to his pads," said Brodeur. "And his shoulder pads are so big he looks like Goldorak, the robot I watched killing the bad guys on TV when I was a kid."

REMEMBER THIS GUY?
Mike Rupp is centering the Devils top line with wingers Jeff Friesen and Jamie Langenbrunner. Rupp, who scored the winning goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, is looking to replace Joe Nieuwendyk, who defected as a free agent to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Radio is good enough for me,

Players who should be in the lineup for the devils.

Elias, Larionov, Madden, Bicek, Balmochnykh, Suglobov, Niedermayer, White, Ahonen, Pandolfo, Pikkarainen. They are the ones I would count on playing.

I'm going to bunk here for the night, just to get a group of posters in one thread.

ps: New York Islanders have the best web site in the NHL bar none, man they put NJ's site absolutly to shame. Our site doesn't give previews or anything, they don't update rosters, they post trades a day later. Pretty Bad Stuf

I've noticed that as well. The Isles site has done great preseason write-ups for years now. They really give the fans a lot of info to read over and argue about during camp.

Its a smart move by them becasue people like me can't wait for the first puck to drop after talking about the team so much for a month before.

He has done fairly well, it is between him or Rupp for the 4th line position to start the year. Rupp may beat him out but Berglund "will" take over throughout the year, I am not a Rupp fan, to slow and not enough skills.

Yea but the pre game seems like the radio warm ups (for the radio guys) not a runover of the game.

Reminds me of when on Metro on Direct TV sometimes the cut to commercial and they never take the camra or sound off the booth.

Two years ago Howie and Joe were sitting there doing the "wassssssssupppppppp" to each other. Some of the funniest stuff I've every heard on TV.

Berglund is the Euro version of Claude Lemieux, strong as an Ox, great offensive skills and picks up his game depending on his linemates. If he plays with 4th liners he will play like a 4th liner, if he plays with top line talent he will be an offensive threat.

Devils have alot of rookies playing,

Pihlman - Darby - Gionta

That means Suglobov is with Elias, watch out for that line.

Schwab better enjoy this. It might be last last time he gets to play in 2003 as much as Marty plays!
