Vincent Trocheck

I made this thread for general discussion on another one of our talented prospects.

The kid looks like he's done with the OHL this year and definitely has attracted a ton of attention with his play. (50G, 59A in 63GP being a +49 in regular season) (9G, 12A in 10GP being a +10 in playoffs)

I'm assuming he will play a year at least in San Antonio and see if he can transition his offensive production into the AHL.

Where does he fit into the organization moving forward in the next 2-3 years?
Having Bjugstad, Shore, Matthias and Trocheck looks good on paper, hopefully these 4 can cement our Center depth for years to come.

I can't help but to add Knight here (and possibly Mac ).

IMO he'll be a winger, even in the AHL.

I could see him being a center/right winger for sure. After Grimaldi, Trocheck is next in our skilled right winger forward group (both labeled centers but will probably transition into wingers later on).

Excited to see him turn pro soon.

He needs to start with SA and get called up. It worked great for Shore. Gotta do the same thing with Trocheck.

I agree.

As exciting as it is for Shore, Howden or Trocheck to be called up, I believe they need alot of time in the AHL - 1 - 2 years max. They need to gain experience through the ranks and earn their right to play in the big boy league, so I do not think they will get a clear shot till much later.

Exciting to see the youngins growing into this franchise!

Yeah I think Trocheck is one of our center prospects that will convert to wing.

I really don't expect to see him up full-time until at least 2015-16.

Gotta give myself some credit for hyping him before the draft. He was one of the players I was really high about. Saw him play a few games with Saginaw and he was so dynamic. Happy to see him doing great!
