Classless Subban

First off I am a leafs fan and I hate both Boston and Montreal equally, but Subbans antics last night were disgusting. As you most of you probably seen he drew a penalty by grabbing Marchands stick and holding it against his visor and then falling down backwards. That should be suspension worthy with his history. Later in the game he took a huge run at Lucic and left his feet targeting the head. Luckily Lucic stopped and Subban just barely caught his face and flew into the boards. Lucics face was bleeding after Subban clipped him but thats better than the concussion he most likely would have had if Subban had made full contact with his head. I have never see a player dive as much as Subban or leave his feet on almost every hit he throws.

50% will agree and say he's the most classless player in the game, the other half will tell you he just plays with a lot of "passion."

That flying elbow thrown at Lucic could have been pretty nasty, Milan had the good sense to get out of the way just in the nick of time and only suffered some minor bleeding.

I know what you mean, but playing with passion isn't flopping all over the ice anytime you get touched and headhunting. That would be the opposite of passion.

He was just trying to equal all the Bruins diving/embellishments from last night.

Subban is the absolute king of holding the stick, watch him.

He does it everytime a player gets close and he can grab it...Refs need to be aware...good move if you can get away with it.

I like Subban as a hockey player, but hate watching my team play against him....he is really good, can draw calls and has a lot of sneaky moves.

p.s interesting fact of the day.....my girlfriend informed that 'subban' directly translates to 'the *****' from Swedish.....Guess you cannot write female dog here...apparently spelled the same and everything.

What a bizarre argument. You can still score a lot of goals and be a gutless, flopping puke. Look at Marchand.

Why are people trying to bring his goals or the Bruins into this? I don't care about his goals and I'm not a Bruins fan. I'm talking about his classless antics.

He missed the hit...

It was a bit dirty to stick his arm out but you can't let a guy just skate by without trying to slow him down when you are the last guy back...

guys will stick out their knee, their stick, their arm... whatever it takes to slow a guy down as a d-man... doesn't make it any cleaner.

in any event maybe you've seen hockey before.

So you're saying he dove?
Embarrassing and annoying how often it happens in this game, but I don't think that dives are suspension worthy yet.
I like Marchand, but if anyone is going to be negatively impacted by another player diving it should be him.
Seems players and the league are in the process of cracking down on diving in some way, when they do PK and players like him will learn their lesson; on top of that every ref in the league has now seen that PK made a fool out of whoever was officiating last night's game.

Diving sucks; I went from pulling for the Kings last year to not watching the playoffs at all thanks to Dustin Brown and his nonsense. Hopefully they can remove it from the game or make it far less commonplace, but until they make it a suspension then I can't understand wanting PK suspended for what he did last night.

Im a B's fan and OP I agree with you. Lucic was lucky to stop in time. After seeing that reply though how could it not be called Charging? And how can the NHL suspend such "power forwards" for clean hard hits when you have this little ***** running around literally leaving his feet to target the head?

I know what willbe said about my post and the Habs fans will run in here saying Marchand this and Marchand that. But to be honest, I hate Marchands antics when he dives or goes low on someone.

Back to the hit though, how can a ref see Subban go flying thru the air, slam himself horizontally to the ice, into the boards and then see Lucic's face bleeding and not call anything at all? What game were they watching?

Lucic is classless as well.

Subban and Lucic both have to keep their heads on a swivel, because of the way they play. So I dont see any problem.

Subban is a total d-bag. He is a great hockey player but I wish him nothing but misfortune.

I pretty much agree with everything in this post. I wanna see Subban have the balls to fight Lucic as well.

That would be a solid 8 classless Subbans. On my scale of course.

The guy is very good at drawing penalties and getting into the other players heads. After last night it seems he's into the fans heads as well. When the Habs play the Bruins, dirty plays happen during the game, on both sides. The only thing wrong with his attempted hit, he missed.

I know - right? Those classless torontonians....

He's a great player, and soon to Norris winner/finalist. You'd love him on your team - and you know it!
