Redden traded to the Bruins. Watch Redden win the Cup 6 months after being bought out by the Rangers

Let me get this straight, Bob walked to CBJ because there's no future in PHI (or PHI didn't sign him, less likely than the former) and becomes #1 goaltender in CBJ, candidate for Vezina. PHI continues to struggle with goaltending and trades away their backup who was decent for them over the years along with a 3rd round pick to CBJ for Steve Mason, Bob's backup.

Makes sense. And Philly fans keep wondering why they are conceding so many goals with Ilya "DUCK" Bryzgalov.

I went to the Jets GTD and they lost.

They had a booing party for us today and it was not good, for them.

(Why would you want Philly to win? I'd rather all the playoff teams stay in the hunt. We're 5 point out of catching the Leafs or Senators with only a handful of games left. Very difficult to do. Besides, if you are assuming we're going to blow past one of the two NW teams, then it's assuming that we're playoff bound so it doesn't matter how the Isles and Devils do aside from simply wanting them to miss the playoffs.

I'm cheering for Toronto even though Philly is still only .500 if they win the game. Rather safe than sorry is the NYR policy.

Anyway, as I was superstitiously saying, if we watch and comment and invade GTDs on all three games....the opposing teams can't win all three, right?

The Bryzgalov thing was ridiculous. WTF is wrong with that guy? What a strange, strange person.

He's the NHL's answer to Javale McGee.

Even if the puck was deflected, dodging it is just not a normal response for a goalie.

Didn't think of it like that.... but ya seriously, dodging it is just weird now that I think about it... most goalies instinctively just let it happen and hit them.

As I said in the thread on the main board, his entire profession is based on properly reacting to pucks. Because of that, I can't really buy the "normal human reaction" explanation. He's just Bryzgalov...

I don't think Philly is going anywhere to be honest. I see 2 teams challenging for the spots: WSH and NYI. With the way the Leafs are looking lately, I have to admit I can't see them falling too much. But I still haven't given up hope for their patented late season struggles.

Best thing however would be, to not give a **** about any of those teams and handle our own business. We're still in the position to do that. But on the other hand I won't turn down any help we can get.

He put together team Canada together that won gold and people think he's a genius. Wayne Gretzky and Kevin Lowe did that too and well, both aren't the sharpest tools in the toolbox.

That's the thing. Goalies are there because they ignore the human response to flying objects. Except for Bryz.

I wouldn't count out Philly. They have some big guns and have been playing better as of late. Really no need to worry about WSH. They will probably win the Southeast. Winnipeg is in a free fall and as it stands now the Rangers have more points then them with a couple of games in hand. So even if WSH does pass NYR they will go straight to 3rd anyway. The Devils are still in the mix but with the loss of Kovalchuk at the worst time are probably the most likely to fall out of the race. They look terrible offensively and will probably have to rely on Brodeur to steal them some more loser points. Isles seem poised to finally get over that playoff hump. They scare me the most. Tavares is a stud.

You're right though, the Rangers just need to find a way to keep picking up points so that none of this talk would even matter.

How hard could it possibly be to assemble Team Canada? It's not like you're going out drafting players or making trades.

Flyers traded Bobrovsky to CBJ for a 2nd/4th in 2012 and a 4th in 2013. Bobrovsky didn't leave.
