Dave Bolland was wretched in the third period of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Looking at Page 16 of the Committed Indian published on 22 June 2013, Dave Bolland has been miserable in these playoffs. According to the Hockey Sabremetrics for the Chicago Blackhawks, Dave Bolland has one of worst GFON/60 - GAON/60 ratings on the team; only Stalberg, Bollig, Leddy are worse. Dave Bolland is dead last on the team with a Corsi Rating of -12.08 (no one even comes close), and second to last on the team with a faceoff percentage of 41.7%.

GFON/60, GAON/60: Goals for and against team per 60 minutes player is on ice

Bolland needs to be a little more disciplined in his defensive zone. In game 4, Boychuk's goal came on a blast from the shooting lane Bolland abandoned to chase the puck.

As a forward, if you chase D to D passes, you're going to get burned on a shot from the point you just left.

With regard to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Dave Bolland lost Bergeron in coverage during the cycle resulting in Boston's fourth goal of the game in the third period.

First goal tonight, Bolly loses the draw, loses his guy and runs out to the blue line area. Guess who scores? Yup, his guy whom he never picked up.

Nice hit on JJ earlier though, but not worth 3.25M.

This is why you don't give up on your players.

It takes a whole team and you never know who's gonna make that play.

Said it before the last 2 games and stay with it. Bolland shouln't be traded and I'd keep him. You now can't even trade him and he is a 2x Cup Winner with us, drafted by us and has a Cup Clincher

I don't think its possible to trade him now. Not that we'd want to

Of course not, but players go through ups and downs and he was injured at times this season.

No matter what happens from here on out, dude is a two time champ for us and joins Kaner with Cup winning goals.

I'm happy for him (and US!).

Not trying to call you out, but this post looks hilarious right now.

I didn't expect Bolland to pot the cup clincher, but boy am I glad he did.

I think he played himself back onto the roster with that shift.

One goal that Frolik did all the heavy lifting on doesn't negate a largely mediocre season. Hurt or not, Bolland was bad this year.

All for keeping him around though. Think he can bounce back into form.

At end of day if you want Bickell they need to free up $$$ ,, Bolland is #1 on list to move

we belived in Crawford to bounce back
we belived in Hjammer to bounce back

Guy just won his 2nd Cup and scored the Cup clincher. We should have some faith in him to bounce back

Except neither Craw/Hammer have had the failed chances Davey Boy has and neither has injury history

Also Bolland being UFA in a year should factor in as well

Seems to me Bolland being a UFA in a year is a big mark in his favor to stay. Give him one more year to see how he bounces back. It would be a lot easier to let him go if he has a bad year next year. If he has a good year, cap goes up and we talk extension.

It all boils down to Bickell. If he's willing to forgo million in UFA dollars, Bolland stays. Otherwise, Bolland and/or Frolik are gone.

I don't understand that love with getting picks back for players that have proven to be very usefull. Bolland was the best #3 Center in the league before.

He should be given the chance for a bounce back year

For as bad as he was at times, the goals Bolland scored in the PO's were all huge. He'll never score a bigger one than he did last night!

If he ends up being traded, what a way to go out!

If I was making the choices, BB, Bolland and Frolik would stay, Leddy would be dealt. I want to keep the important pieces of this team here and Bolland/Frolik being UFAs after next year gives us flexibility if we need it. Also gives the young forwards another year to develop.
