Jussi Jokinen (CAR)

Is he worth putting a claim in for a 2nd line C

He's signed next year for 3mil

Had 52 and 46 pts the last 2 years
Career .537% faceoff guy
Would be the 3rd shootout guy on our team

I'm not sure, but if you can pick him up for nothing?

Yeah, definitely. I don't see why we couldn't flip him for at least a 7th after he looks much better with us. Then the question is, why didn't we just give up a 7th for him? Someone else will claim the guy.

God dammit Bowman, you frustrate the hell out of me. Now you're going out and saying you are going to acquire someone better than Jokinen? Still, could have had this guy for free... Anxiously awaiting the big move, that's all I have to say.

I'm having a pretty hard time believing that Jokinen was even offered before he hit waivers.

Fans and media are all clamoring to pick him up, but no GMs were?

Just so we are clear. 5 goals and 5 assists in 30 games, 2nd line center. 5 goals and 7 assists in 25 games, terrible player that we should be looking to dump as soon as possible.

This all about Bowman ****ing up until he gets someone better in the next week. This is a good all around player that fits great here. Lol, you can't even make this **** up, turn up the heat.

He's good at faceoffs, but other than that he's not a big upgrade over Bolland offensively and he's not as good defensively. I'd take him, but if we are going to add a guy to win faceoffs, I'd like him to have a little beef on him and play him on the 4th line.

There is a lot of offensive upside too. On the Hawks, he's at least a 20G/25A player. I agree there are slightly more ideal fits but they aren't here yet. This guy was ours if we wanted him. That's what's curious about this whole thing. Either Bowman **** the bed and tracked it through the whole house or he has something else in mind. I'm anxious to find out which, 7 days left. This is a better team with Jokinen in place of one of Bollig/Mayers/Carcillo and there is no denying that, also better than Frolik. There MUST be something else in the works. I just can't see how there isn't.

Improvement over Bolland at least

Claim him but I doubt he makes it to the Hawks

Ya, his 10pts in 30 games is far better than Bolland, and he isn't near as good defensively.

You're hilarious.

As you like to point out, what does Jokinen's past have to do with how bad he's been this year? Nothing. He has less points than Bolland, therefore, putting on my BWC-thinking cap, he has to be awful.

Pass.

Jokinen doesn't get luxury of playing with Sharp/Kane

Pretty sure he wouldn't fail as bad as Bolland has as #2 C

Pick up Jokinen and waive/trade Bolland at this point

I will take the guy who tries (Jokinen) every night with inferior talent then Dave Bolland who is MIA in effort most nights

This is an all timer out of you. Someone needs to print this out and put it in a time capsul and bury it so future generations can see it.

As long as his role was marginal, I wouldn't care if Bowman puts in a claim. I don't like him much but I think he could be somewhat useful. Doubt he makes it all the way around to Chicago anyway.

Watch this guy go back to being a 50 point player with his new team. Yeah, do not want. Reminds me of Vermette.
