Chicago. Played for the WHK hawks growing up.

Lately:

Minnesota because that state's friggan awesome.

Slight nod to Detroit and Dallas which I watch for the sole purposes of Datsyuk and Eriksson

I'm a hockey junkie, not just a B's fan. With that said, former season ticket holder and tattooed myself with the B's logo. Go Go Black and Gold

I've always had a soft spot for the hawks.

I've rooted for several over the years, when Bruins aren't playing. That includes dynasty years of Oilers, Pens, Wings, plus Leafs, Canes, Ducks, Sharks, and several others I'm probably forgetting. Also, anyone playing the habs.

Avs. Ducks. Hawks.

Av's because of Bourque. Ducks because of the Mighty Ducks. Hawks because of Waynes World.

No.

Last year when we were bounced I don't remember watching more than 5 consecutive minutes of hockey.

I cheer for whoever is playing the Canucks, Habs, Leafs and Penguins.

Not another favorite but there are a couple teams I pull for out west. The first is the Avs because of Bourque, Drury and Sakic back in the day. And now they have McGinn who I'm a huge fan of and Landeskog. Also they drafted Siemens who I think is gonna be a rel throwback, nasty defenseman with decent offensive upside.

The other team is the Sharks. Clowe is the guy that really got me into them. Love his game. Also guys like Boyle, Thornton, couture, pavelski and burns. Also my man crush Jamie McGinn used to play thre before they traded him to the Avs....horrible trade for the Sharks

****in' right it is. State of Hockey.

Actually, a quick lesson for those who might not know; most people from 'Sota HATE it when you use "Minny."

It's an old joke but I still use it - my 2 favourite teams are the Bruins and whoever is playing Montreal.

In all serious though (and i'm admit i'm biased because i was born and raised) it's hard not to be a hockey fan and not appreciate Minnesota's place in the sport. The NHL team is always a good follow, but you've also got some of the best college programs in the country, plus the MN state high school hockey system might be the deepest in the country.

It would've been nice to see Parise here in Boston, but what that dual signing did for the Wild franchise and the State's hockey scene in general has been amazing. It's THE big show in town right now, and after a slow start, the Wild are starting to come together.

Leafs. I love to watch them beat the Habs almost as much as I like to watch Boston beat them. They're a fairly similar team, playing-style wise, especially if you compare them to the Bruins a few years back.

I do like the Hawks too.

No.

But I like and dislike Western teams as I see fit.

And if your in the east and I don't hate you (10 teams or so I can't stand in the East) I sort of like you. (Ottawa, Isles, TB.)

I've heard about their growth. It's effing awesome. Nothing but respect for it. The college hockey is amazing too. Hopefully my UNH boys will see you guys in about a month

Used to be Nashville...kinda got bored with them, now it's Edmonton since I feel like they'll be incredibly fun to watch in a year or two (they're already entertaining now, just need better management).

EDIT: This is only because living in California means Bruins games are done around 6:30 each night, so I need a team to follow in the West/Pacific time zone.

I'm with you.

I like watching other teams and I usually pick who I want to win each game, but if it is eastern teams I choose mostly on how much it helps the Bruins in the standings unless it is Montreal who I just want to lose every game.

I have not actively tried to watch another team since the Brian Burkes Ducks.

I have other teams that I like and root for when they aren't playing the Bruins.

My daughter likes the Kings a lot-so she was very happy last year to see them win the cup since the Bruins were out.
