You guys may have David Jones for a B-level D prospect and a 5th rounder.

They won't take on that salary. Pittsburgh may have some difficult choices is the near future because of the cap. Part of the reason they seem to be going all-in this season. I don't even think Pittsburgh would pick up Jones on waivers.

I'm ok with that for Sutter+Maatta+3rd or Bennet+Maata+1st (which will be #30 of course)

PAP has been great this year though with Duchene. One of the few positives this season for the Mile High team

Shero needs to make as many trades as necessary to force Bylsma to bench Tanner Glass. He's effing terrible. Crosby is getting double shifted with him again tonight...unacceptable.

Makes me wonder yet again why Rutherford didn't just pick up the phone and ask Shero if he wanted Jussi Jokinen for a conditional pick.

I've been dying to get Kulemin with Geno but id rather see Iggy with Sid. You notice Neal hasn't done crap since Geno's been out? DB should give Sid and Neal more time together to get Neal back on track. He looks lost when he's shooting. Like if Geno was his left *** or something.

Pittsburgh is dominating and they just added two depth guys. How much more can they add without screwing up the chemistry? How much better can they get?

Clearly Shero is trying to virtually lock up the Cup lol. Give him credit, he;s doing the best he can that's for certain.

...and when they win the Cup everyone else who stood still will look like morons.

1. There is some discussion on the Pens board as to whether Shero said 2nd line winger or top 2 line winger (i.e., top six forward).

2. IMO, Shero is in on Iginla. If he gets him, then it's Dupuis to L3 and Morrow stays with Malkin and Neal unless he looks like Forrest Gimp skating out there. If he doesn't, then the Crosby line stays as is and he targets a LW for Malkin and Neal, the idea being to slide Morrow to L3 with Sutter and Cooke.

3. Failing that, he'll look for a nice fourth liner.

Agreed, which is why I think Iggy is the target and guys like Kulemin (guys to play with Malkin) are the Plan B's if that falls through.

There was a Pominville deal floating around the boards that both teams seemed to like pretty well a few weeks ago wasn't there?

FWIW, Shero actually said "Top-2 Line."

So could still be anywhere

The only teams that will look like morons if they "stand still" are Chicago and Anaheim. No one else has a stellar roster with good chemistry that is also in danger of being disbanded after this season or next due to the cap. Shero recognizes that he has a short window of this year and next to win the cup before its hunting season for his UFAs.

You are believing the press too much with them saying Pittsburgh is in on Iggy. I'm sure they are in only to drive up the price. They aren't in it to win it - the Iggy sweepstakes that is. They want Boston to mortgage the future. Shero isn't giving up what Calgary is asking. No chance. He isn't that dumb.

And if they dont he has nothing to show for it. Tradeing away the best prospect in the system for a rental and two seconds for Douglas Murray

Tell that to Canucks fans................
I would include Boston in this discussion because of obvious cap issues. Nathan Horton AND Peverly are key UFA
