Boyle fought Perry in response to a sucker punch that Perry did on the SH goal by Wingels where he and Perry were trailing the play and Perry just turned and socked him in the face.

My thoughts on the past two games:

Our PDO is regressing.
Anaheim's PDO is regressing.
Transition looks better with the three young puck movers over Murray.
Boyle should be a Shark until he retires dies.

Pretty disappointing fight. Although the Clowe fight was good and is worth a watch.

And in a final "I hate San Jose and all those memories" moment....

Delayed in SJ due to mechanical issues with plane. Practiced @ Sharks Ice this morning.

I think Perry's shield was covering his face so Boyle couldn't throw as much as he wanted.

Boyle at 5'11 190 more than held his own against Perry at 6'3 210. It wasn't a fight for the ages, but it was great to see Boyle stick up for himself when Perry was obviously just going to chirp and chip and him towards the end of that game.

Throughout it all Boyle has been one of the few guys I can look at and say "he is giving everything every night"

I would be very sad to see him leave this team. He is the type of guy you just don't let go of because he's near impossible to replace.

Boyle should take up Karate like Scott Thornton. He'd be super badass.

too bad murray wasn't still paired with boyle, he'd make perry curl up in the fetal position.

The way Perry slashed Niemi multiple times after the puck was obviously covered and punching Boyle on the 3-2, he deserved to get run and punched in the face. Glad Boyle went after him, but I wish Clowe would have gotten a piece.

By the way does anyone else think Jumbo has made more of an effort to shoot the puck these last couple of games? Outside of that hilarious two foot backhand pass at the top of the crease, it seemed like he was throwing a lot more pucks at the net (even if most of them went wide or were blocked).

Yeah because I think he realized that if someone scores on the rebound he gets assists.

Agreed on all counts. I think had Perry's visor hasn't been covering his face Boyle would have mauled him. Boyle doesn't seem to be intimidated by size difference, he's tried to get into it with Nash on several occasions.

He absolutely has. It's like his 2nd option these days. You know I wonder though, I read somewhere that Jumbo's stick is bigger and heavier than anyone else's on the team (twss), presumably so it can't be moved, slashed out of his hands or broken as easily, so maybe it actually is not as good of a stick for shooting?

Semi unrelated: there was a point in the game where the sharks were back checking and it showed pavelski and Clowe side by side moving what seemed to be their best effort. Pavelski was faster to my untrained eyeball. I only mention this because there has been some comments that pavelski is slower than Clowe.

Pavelski actually looked decent the past couple.

HOLY, I just saw that cheap shot Perry made on Boyle. Perry is still an elite POS.

But seriously, it could be because guys are going to the net harder, so all his targets are at the net
