How does finishing somewhere around 9th-11th in the conference benefit us?

Good question. How does watching games cheering for your team to lose benefit you?

They should really extend OT when there's a penalty like that

Wow G got held like no other

That should be a penalty....if you take a penalty in OT and its not fully served, you sit out the shootout

Awarding a penalty shot for blatant penalties at the end of OT would be interesting.

Seriously. We aren't making the playoffs. Most of us want as good a pick as we can get so that we have a better chance at winning down te road.

If you'd honestly rather finish 9th in the east, not make the playoffs, and still have a mediocre draft pick added to a team that's just not good enough, then fine. Mediocrity might be good enough for you, but its not for me. I'm sick of it.

Hey man, just looking at it realistically. There are a few big reasons I don't want this team to win.

1) If we start winning games, maybe miss the playoffs by a point or two, that may make Homer think that this team doesn't need big changes. This team needs big changes.....

2) How many times have we seen this before: a team plays terribly all year, but goes on a hot streak at the end of the season. Because of this, the coach isn't fired(Andy. ****ing. Reid). I don't want that to happen. Lavy needs to go.

3) There are 15 teams in the conference. There are 8 playoffs spots. There are 15 games left in the season. There are 13 teams ahead of the Flyers in the conference standings. The odds are heavily against them to make the playoffs. I'd rather see them fail miserably, get a high pick and be pressured into big changes than start winning and come in 9th, get an average mid-first-round pick, and make a couple small changes.

Personally, when I am watching the game I still want us to win... but if we lose I'm just not as annoyed as usual.

My heart wants us to win every game... my head says differently.
