As an Avs fan this is a relatively easy answer. We've got Duchene, ROR, and Stastny down the middle. No reason to take Stepan at the expense of a scoring winger, which we've sorely lacked for a long time.

Hahaha, that's so damn ironic...

Clearly you haven't watched PAP play recently either, his Defensive game has improved leaps and bounds from his time with the Islanders.

And yes, I have seen Stepan play a fair amount. As I said earlier he is actually one of my favorite players in the league. If the Rangers and Avs had made an Oreilly trade a month ago, I would have been ecstatic with getting Stepan in return.

He is a good player, but PAP has played better all year, and last year.

I watch the Avs quite a bit and yeah his defense has improved a little but saying he's on par with Stepan defensively is pretty darned foolish.

Whats ironic is that you actually believed everything you typed

Anyones defensive game would improve leaps and bounds when they left the Islanders. That still doesnt make them any good at it.He is a bad defensive player.

Haha. Okay. Why is PAP crushing Stepan offensively then?
