Whitney is slow, not great defensively, but puts up points. He's like a slightly better version of Cam Barker being paid over 4 times as much.
Spouting off this kind of crap might actually work if we didn't have Cam Barker ourselves LMAO

Barker has put up 40+ points before, so he's had the offensive prowess that Whitney once had as well.
They both suck defensively and are sluggish skaters.

I'm at least basing my argument on factual premises based on their play.

Wow Whitney skating with a bum ankle is a better player then Barker. Whitney has his faults but if Boston limits him 16/18 min a night he will help them with a great break out pass and on their pp as well. Just important he is paired with a good shutdown partner.

Yeah, I think he could play a similar role to what Kaberle did in 2011; my initial point was that Whitney won't fetch a 2nd and a prospect like Bartowski. Maybe just a 2nd would be realistic.

I would be happy with a 2nd and 4th , a 2nd from Beantown is more like a low 3rd

I don't think it deserves much more... there is nothing factual about "sucks defensively and sluggish skater"

Posting stats like games missed due to injury to prove he is injury prone somehow isn't factual?

I actually based most my opinion of Whitney on Edmonton fan's posts this season. Funny how the tune changes when he's rumoured to be traded.

I have yet to see any correlation between sucking defensively... being sluggish skater.. and games missed due to injury? Nice job trying to change your tune though...

Again nice backtrack... first your assessment is fact now it's Edmonton fan posts... we can probably all safely ignore this little fella... not worth the time...

I don't have a problem with this I'm not expecting the world back for him, but please just don't compare him to Cam Barker again.

Of course you'd be happy with that but I highly doubt he comes close to that type of return. IMO you'd be lucky with the last part of your proposed deal

Bartowski is a ****** prospect. His game is suited for NCAA/AHL....not NHL. Keep the almighty blue chipper.
I've noticed Bruins fans aren't in here boosting him because they know him better than the Nuck fans that are lurking in here

We need more players like mps, not less of them.
Absolutely. Which is why it's not really beneficial to trade young guys just breaking into the league who've proven little at this point.

Perhaps for a 4th round pick.
