If Boston gets Iggy, we still can beat them in playoffs. We really have to go after their d-men hard.

I remember Bruins fans saying that he might leave and go to the KHL.

Feaster is a fan of mediocre players and thinking they are better than they are. He traded Regehr in a package for freaking Chris Butler. Butler sucks, he was barely a top 4 in Buffalo when they were struggling. He's a 3rd pairing guy and Bartkowski is likely just that as well.

Good luck to the flames fans, your GM is an idiot.

Yea really. Shero sure showed the league. His overpayment really influenced the market. Good thing we got bent over twice. His trades had absolutely no affect on the market.

Bruins fans must be relieved they didn't acquire Morrow for a similar package.

Draft some damn forwards this summer Shero, ****.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. If that's true... even dumber move on Feaster's part.

I was just referring to Khokhlachev's skillset, though. It's not like he's some total scrub.

This is a bit of an odd affair. Khokhlachev, good enough for Iginla, not good enough for Brenden Morrow. Does the late first make that much difference from the late second that they were seemingly willing to give to Dallas to account for the upgrade between Morrow and Iginla? Bartkowski's frankly a throw-in here, I can't see much of a value jump there.

Well, I just don't know.

I'd have an easier time projecting and valuing the stock market than the NHL's trade market.

I wonder how Feaster values Forsberg or Grigs as compaired to Koko.

Shero should just tell him that every PMD can be traded for a 40 goal winger.

I think they roll the Bruins even if they add Iginla as long as Fleury GAA isn't 6.32 like last year.

I know. I don't mean to be so hard on him and if Boston got Iginla and we didn't pull the trigger on deals for Morrow or Murray then we'd have people here ripping him for not making moves in this arms race. It's a tough gig Shero has.

It's not greedy for us to want Sid to have somebody on his line within the same realm of talent as him.

It's been 7 years. Sid with an actual winger to finish would not be fair to the rest of the NHL.

Guys maybe this is just #jagrwatch all over again.
People are saying that they will be suprised of Iggy doesn't go to Boston. In jagrwatch people said they'd be suprised if Jagr didn't go to the pens. All the sudden he signs with Philly.

Actually it is. Sid's line is the highest scoring line in the NHL. But you want it to score more.

I remember how hopeful we were when we got Murray and Morrow, thinking we could convince Iginla to come here.

Let's just remember, it could still go down like that...

I understand but we also have to understand that we don't have a "right" to every good winger because we have Sid.

It's like Yankee fans whom I despise.

Sometimes things don't work out. What if Shero pays less for a younger winger? We don't know what has or will be worked out or what has or has not been offered.

I hope Shero comes out and says that Feaster wanted Bennett and Despres and a 1st or he says that Iginla picked Boston over us. Would that make everyone feel better?

This is looking as bad as #JagrWatch

Instead of giving jags what he wanted, Shero signed Kennedy to a $2 million a season multi year contract.

Now we get Morrow instead of Iggy.

Ouch

The Bartkowski part kills me. He's such a run-of-the-mill player which every team has one or two of in their system. Khokhlachev is a very good but not top-tier prospect. The 1st is going to be in the late 20's. Rather underwhelming when you consider the Pens just traded Morrow+2 2nd's for Morrow and Murray. I'd take a Pouliot+1st+Bortuzzo (basically the Pens version of the Bruins deal) for Iginla with no hesitation in comparison.

Still think there's got to be a little more to this, maybe a conditional 2nd or something?

Can't believe that the Bruins are supposedly only giving up slightly more for Iginla than what they reportedly offered for Morrow.

It's greedy to expect that the trade market can and should conform to your desires as a fan and that its failure to do so can only be evidence of Shero's unwillingness or inability to do what you see as obvious.

If we add a another winger like i think shero will do we would deffinatly have the depth advantage still. Crosby, kunitz, New winger, dupuis, malkin, neal, morrow, sutter, tk, cooke, bennett.

Bruins: Iginla, Bergeron, Caron, Horton, Krejci, lucic, marchand, paille, peverly, seguin.

It's close but i still think we are better.
