It's going to suck if we play against Bruins in the 3rd round. I can see Iginla being a physical force! I just hope we can get a little tougher, because if that series happens? it's going to be a MAD HOUSE! But...we got to make it past the first round, then 2nd instead of choking. Perhaps we can get Ott and Torres? then maybe Pommers? we would be ready to destroy them for sure.

ITS NOT ABOUT SCORING. God.

Kunitz-Crosby-X will be the highest scoring line in the NHL. Whether that X is you or me, it doesn't matter. Sid is the best player in the NHL and ANYBODY he plays with him will rack of the points. In the regular season.

It's about SPACE. It's about creating chances. Philly dominated us because of their possession, because if you leave Giroux alone, he'll beat you. Or Hartnell, or Simmonds, or ect. Dupuis is a guy you leave alone in the playoffs. You make him beat you. Because over the course of a series, he won't.

Bruins: Iginla, Bergeron, Caron, Horton, Krejci, lucic, marchand, paille, peverly, seguin.

It's close but i still think we are better.
their wing depth is heads above ours...our centre depth is unreal though...obviously

Let's just remember, it could still go down like that...
I still think, when healthy, the Pens are the team to beat even if the Bruins get Iginla. I'm not sure why the Pens are still scouting the Sharks, but apparently they still are.

Maybe there is some interest in Ryan Clowe as well, if that's the case, I don't see Beau being brought back up if that happens. He'll likely stay in WBS, but would that allow him to play in the WBS playoffs? I recall there being an issue with that back in 2009 when the Pens wanted to send someone down to help out but they couldn't.

In any case, getting Clowe wouldn't be a bad move either for the bottom 6.

Kunitz, Crosby, Dupuis
Morrow, Malkin, Neal
Clowe, Sutter, Kennedy
Cooke, Vitale, Adams

Yeah unless the perfect guy is for Sid.... then I want Dupers on line 1. Their chemistry is unmatched this season. Dupers has elevated his game and just knows where to be.

People don't give enough credit to what Dupers did to become the player he is.

If we're scouting San Jose still and if Clowe's asking price is apparently as high as Iginla's, I'd rather Shero go hard at Pavelski or someone that can score

Do you still feel that way when you add the defensemen, goalies and coach?

This comes with usual "anything can happen" qualifier but multiple sources saying not to expect a Jarome Iginla trade tonight.

I agree, I watch and listen to allot of hockey and the only people who have a problem with Dupuis on the 1st line are on this board.

Iginla with the Pens would have been 10 times better than morrow. No rip on morrow, but a right shot on our PP would have been awesome.

Well, if he is Boston bound, then I suspect that Shero's attention turns to L2 LW since, outside of MSL, there really isn't a guy who you could say definitely would upgrade Sid's line. So, Plan B, I suppose, is to make Geno's line as strong as possible (a true pick your poison dilemma) and slide Morrow to L3.

Boston needs more scoring. They put up 5 tonight and let Montreal tie it with less than 10 seconds left.

If Calgary is still playing to get the most out of Pitt/Boston I think Boston is about to up their offer...

Clowe is great, but they want a first rounder+ for him. Zero goals this season. Doesn't add up, as far as I'm concerned.

I doubt his asking price is high, I think Shero might have seriously been in the Iginla thing and is now looking at his option 2, Clowe. He's physical and seems like a guy Bylsma would know how to use and would definitely provide depth on the 2nd line or in the bottom 6 when you think about it.

If Morrow doesn't work out with Malkin, Clowe could, swapping them from L2 to L3 wouldn't be bad anyway.
