Who takes on Malkin (CS Winner) and Neal? and Morrow?

Does anyone really need to take on Morrow at this point?

Malkin/Neal is the real problem. Damn you Dallas!

Probably.

Then another early exit.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows + Garrison would probably have the best chance. Malkin has been somewhat injury-prone this season having already missed 13 out of 34 games.

Morrow is a shadow of his former self. At this point in his career I actually think Higgins is a better player than Morrow.

@MikeColligan 1m

I thought this update was comical the other day, but after Iginla trade, #Pens can still add $13+ million in cap hits via trade as of today

Hah! Bruins get screwed, Flames lose their captain for a pile of crap... pretty much the best outcome for Canucks fans.

Jagr?

It's a good thing for the rest of the league that there aren't any good available D-men rentals left. The Pens would be so all over that.

If they sell more assets they're going to be in a fun position in a few years.

But w/e, stacked doesn't always mean you'll win it all.

Yeah, going to really be hurting when Crosby, Malkin, Letang are still in the middle of their careers.

Pens will get whatever they can get their hands on for cheap, and right now, it seems like they can get anything at will. Penguins may just outscore their defensive problems.

Okay then.

Because no other team has ever struggled when they had some of the best players.

I can see it now: if Pens make the final, with Crosby + Iginla... Team Canada all over again.

Would love to see a series between them and the Bruins btw. Would be a ****ing war.

They'll be fine in the next few years. They still have an abundance of good d-prospects, and these picks that they just gave up likely won't play for at least 3 seasons, and may not make an impact for another 2-3 years after that. They are playing to win now while Crosby and Malkin are in their prime.

Stacked doesn't mean they're guaranteed to win it all, but they're in a better position to do it now. These are great additions for the Pens.

also Neal.

That's potentially two star centers, a top dman, and a top lne winger.

Penguins are fine.

I think when Montreal beat Washington and Pittsburgh was pretty impressive.

This team got knocked out by the Sharks in 04.

Tanguay-Sakic-Kariya (did he get injured?)
Hejduk- Forsberg-Selanne
Konowalchuk-Nikolishin-Svatos
Gratton-Hinote-Barnaby

Blake-Foote
JM Liles-Skrastins
Vaananen-De Vries

David Aebischer
Tommy Salo

That would be a great series for sure; Canucks aren't going to win this year so might as well get excited about something else.

I'll get excited if Gillis suddenly realizes that he actually has a job to do.
