I would honestly say the only untouchables in the wings system would be Mrazek and Jarnkrok. It would take a lot to get Smith but I could see him possibly being traded. After that I could see anyone being moved.

A Holland-Feaster trade!?!?

Isn't that a little.....unfair? Wings fans shouldn't be worried about having to give up much.

No it is pure speculation, Mckenzie was just using Detroit as an example if Jay-bo was to be moved.

I think Visnovsky or Streit would be a better fit

We have an excess of offensive d-men, so Quincey is somewhat expendable these days (especially if they acquire Bouwmeester), but he's not a bad player.
He is not terrible but certaintly not worth a 1st and with how many d-men we have. We have quantity but not a lot of quality.

Not sure how I feel about J-bo. His salary is a little high for me when I dont think he is a true #1 defensemen.

That 1st round pick was 19th overall as well, highest draftpick for Detroit since early 90's (not including the lottery 05 pick that got detroit Jakub Kindl also 19th overall)

That's a Vasilevsky/Määtää/Laughton/Subban, based on last years draft (all drafted 19th overall or later in the 1st round)

That offer isn't close to what it would take to get JBo. It also doesn't help that most people don't know of any other teams prospect pool outside of the top guys, so if Flame fans haven't visited the Wings forum they may just assume that Ferraro is some B-/C prospect throw in. Just an update on Ferraro, he's progressed very nicely the past year and he appears to be a guy that will be able to slide up and down the lineup with ease. Personally his potential in my eyes is a faster, right handed Cleary, so 15-25 goals a year with his great shot and he'll cause havoc on the forecheck & PK with his speed on the PK.

I think it'd take at least one of Jurco/Tatar/Nyquist+Quincey+1st/2nd round pick.

I would probably do Nyquist+Quincey+2013 2nd , but this certainly isn't enough.

Not tatar, not järnkrok, salary must go back, and NO 1st round pick

Id agree with this. I see that as really only costing us Nyquist. We could also ship White for a 2nd or 3rd and make that pick back up.

yah it would likely take Nyquist and that would be ok

as proven probably 99% of the time, the actual trades vs the ones proposed by fan bases on hf boards are never even close to one another, in that, they're usually about a 1/3 of the perceived value by various fanbases it would take to land a said player.

i dont think Jaybo would be had by detroit or any other team for cheap but its probably 99% for certain an actual jaybo deal would be closer to "cheap" then "overpayment"

I wouldn't do it. Bouwmeester is a playoff curse and Detroit isn't a lock to make it yet. I'll laugh my backside off if they make this trade, and then miss the playoffs.

Wings fans would really give away Nyquist!?!

Detroit needs to get younger on offense I thought Nyquist and Tatar would be off limits. How is Martin Frk progressing? If he's not what the doctor ordered maybe the Wings offer him and a little something else up?

Offence from the back end isn't much of a problem. A minute muncher who can kill penalties as well as move the puck adequately is the biggest need. JBo fits that.

I like Visnovsky though and I think he would be a lot cheaper to add than Bouwmeester, considering he's a veteran rental. Is NYI actually shopping Streit? Just noticed his deal is expiring also.

Frk has had an impressive outing in his first full season after being drafted. Injuries hindered him beforehand, now he's showing why he was considered a first rounder before the concussion problems.

joe89 proposed Frk+Filp+2nd for JBo and a conditional pick on Filp re-signing which I think is pretty even. It didn't get very well received by other fans though. I can actually see Filp fitting well with the Flames though. He's had good chemistry with Hudler (career year playing together last year, plus they tore apart the AHL on a line together back in the day), plus it seems like he's looking for a payday and Calgary can provide that.

No you see detroit is trying to get younger, guys 34 and older are the opposite of that mantra

detroit dosent need or should not be concerned with the spring of 2013 but rather and solely the spring of 2016

kh makes a move for a real a keeper or nobody at all, otherwise he deserves to be fired on the spot

Out of our top forward prospects Nyquist is probably the most expendable especially if Filppula is re-signed. However I wouldn't move him for Jay-bo in fact I'd rather not move any of our top forward prospects (Tats/Gus/Jarnkrok).

JBO is way too good of a player for Holland to bring in. Also he's never played for the Wings sooo no this won't happen.

Bouwmeester is a quiet, awkward alberta boy, of course he wants to stay up there in the cold.
