McKenzie and Ward lost a lot of credibility last night with the Iginla fiasco. They need to step back from their Twitters and stop trying to trump Eklund with outrageous fabrications.

Anything less than 1st+ Nyqvist/Smith/Jarnkrok and you made out like bandits.
Considering the Iginla trade and the Regehr trade, I'm not expecting much from Feaster. He's seriously disappointing me. Not that it was entirely unexpected but still.

At least moving JBO and Iggy virtually guarantees a bottom 5 pick. Plus they have Pittsburghs first. Maybe even Detroit's now!

Hardly. They flat out stated the Bruins trade wasn't confirmed.

This is one of the few times they get something wrong, yet people on here consider Eklund an accurate source.

To be fair, McKenzie just reported what Ward had said. He actually pointed out, I think nearly three or four times, that things could get weird.

it was Ward's bad call, not McKenzie's.

We should get in on the madness, JBO would look good next to Dion.

Can't blame them when Boston's actually GM was told it was a done deal.

Would love to get JBo. Would rather part with Nyquist than our 2013 1st, Tatar or Jarnkrok.

Totally down. Especially seeing how Feaster seems to be managing things. It would pain me as a Flame fan, but I'd be doing cartwheels as a Leaf fan.

Can you imagine if the stars line up for Calgary ?

1) Get Detroit's 1st rd pick in a deal for Jaybo
2) Curse of Jaybo kicks in - Det misses playoffs
3) Detroit wins lottery, pick goes to Calgary
4) Flames pick 1-2, get 2 of Jones/Drouin/Mackinnon

Not very likely, but in the realm of possibility.

It's similar to the Kipper situation. He has a newborn.

per Roger Millions (Flames broadcaster)

#Flames Jay Bouwmeester admits he and team have talked about possibility of a trade. Hearing as many as 6 teams interested in him.
Doesn't sound like a guy unwilling to leave.

6 teams?

I'd assume Detroit, Nashville, Philly, Edmonton.... I wonder who else?

I hope Leafs are one of them, we could sure use his minute-munching and defensive abilities on the top-pair with Dion.

I think he would also flourish here with Carlyle who loves big d-man with defense-first mentality and can eat up a lot of minutes(see Beauchemin).

I think it's only appropriate that he comes to Edmonton so he can continue his streak of missing the playoffs for at least another year.

Man, I really want to see us flat-out win a trade for once! It's been a while.

Yes, he has discussed it with the team and according to his family has said no.
