Just because you said it, it must be true! If Luongo let in 1 goal from behind the goal line he would get crucified by Leaf fans. I want him nowhere near the Leafs.

Because rumours are the lifeblood of HF. If there was a rumour of Malkin to the Leafs before he leaves to UFA, posted by a Leafs fan, should we say "Lol desperate Leafs fans?"

Congrats Nucks nation, you're giving some of our idiots a run for their money.
I don't think anyone can beat the guy who said he would take Lupul over anything in our organization.

I dunno, you guys seem to think the Sedin's are first liners. They are, at best, third liners. You guys are being the unreasonable ones, sheesh

EDIT: Probably 4th liners : sarcasm:

Those tended to get ignored, but when we want more than a 2nd round pick for our goalie we're called crazy and delusional.

Alex Burrows

28,35,26,28 goal scorer over the last few years.

We had Pavol Demitra (rip) and Mats Sudin on our 2nd line in 2010.

Basic supply and demand. Supply for an overpaid aging goalie on the decline is fixed. Demand is low, like really low.

Price is a 5th or 6th, your choice.

VAN 5th for Grabovski and a 3rd?

That's fair value for an average 3rd liner making 5.5 Million for the next 4 years.

No no no. The winner of this thread was the person who posted the list of teams Lupul's played for through his NHL career. I'm assuming the point he was making was that Lupul is DUE for another move in franchises since that's the career trend. I think his trends theory beats this Bill Waters senile day dream scenario any day.

Goalies let in bad goals from time to time, even all time great goalies such as Brodeur and Hasek let on bad goals from time to time. Does that make them or Luongo bad goalies? **** no.

If Leaf fans "crucify" somebody for a bad goal it's no wonder you guys haven't had a legitimate all star goalie in years....

I would like this only if we just use Lupul this year then trade him in the offseason. He's always hurt and I dont like the length of his contract.

Luongo is on our team. We don't have to take any rubbish offers if we don't want to. The only way Luongo gets moved before the deadline is if an impact player is coming back. Otherwise we'll move him, or Schneider, in the offseason for futures.

Kessel has a lower cap hit with 2 years on his deal. I'd take that too

My point exactly. You post things you want to see happen.

If I saw Doug MacLean talk about Nazem Kadri for Keith Ballard for example, I wouldn't put it up for public consumption

Yeah apparently, I didn't know you were allowed to ask value for an elite player without being crucified.

From an objective standpoint.

I think we can agree there has been alot of senseless comments from both sides.

Although honestly that Leafs one is still tops for me.

That's like me saying I would rather Alex Burrows than Phil Kessel.

I think it's safe to say that both sides have their share of moronic fans.

This is as good as an Eklund rumour as far as I'm concerned. Few GM's would be this stupid. Certainly not Nonis.

Guys Iginla just got traded.

Stop playing around with this fantasy. Lupul isn't being traded for Luongo.

Then trade him somewhere else, Leafs are content with their goaltending.

What is this obsession with Luongo among Toronto Media? While neither Leaf goaltender currently enjoys the "elite" status that Luongo holds, their goaltending has been solid this season. The Leafs don't need him enough to choke down that contract and they are certainly not going to give up such a big return to land him in the process.
