Flames Fans jumping ship. Introduction Thread

I'd imagine many of us Flames fans will be spending a bit of time on this board now, so I just want to formally introduce myself.

Name is Stephen, born and raised in Manitoba. Been a Flames fan my entire life. Ordering an Iggy jersey as we speak. Very frequent poster, great sense of humor. I tend to joke around a lot.

Few questions I have for you.

1. Where do you expect him to be in the line-up?
2. Are any Bruins currently wearing #12?
3. Who is your whipping boy? I want to fit in

Haha.. Welcome aboard one and all

1. Where do you expect him to be in the line-up?
-Good question... I think you guys could probably assess that better than us haha. Maybe Lucic-Krejci-Iginla? or Paille/Pandawful/Soderberg-Peverley-Iginla
2. Are any Bruins currently wearing #12?
-The last two trade deadline inductions (Rolston and Kaberle) had 12, but no one now.
3. Who is your whipping boy? I want to fit in
-Jay Pand"awful" and occasionally Andrew Ference. Just yell at them all game and you should be all set. Lucic and Horton get a lot of flak too

1. 1st line RW, with Lucic and Krejci
2. No, it's all his
3. Jay Pandolfo. "Pandawful" is pretty popular, so jump in with that.

Aw. Man, I feel for you lot. I realize it should be for part of a rebuild, but if I see that trade as a no-brainer, then someone probably got shafted.

Anyhow....if one considers Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin the first line, then I'd suspect you'll find a second line with Lucic-Krejci-Iginla.
2. Nope. 12 goes to Iggy.
3. Um. You have your choice depending on day. Today..probably Tuukka Rask. Otherwise Jay Pandolfo and sometimes Nathan Horton are good bets for the whipping boy post.

Nice to meet you, Stephen. I'm Matt, born and raised in Minnesota but living in Massachusetts now. I won't mention anything about the Wild tonight.

To be clear, I'm still a Flames fan. They'll always be my #1. This season is done though, and I'm not sure I'm ready to watch them play without Iggy

1st line right wing

Nope, but I would wait on seeing if he wears the A before ordering a jersey

Whipping boy changes nightly. Pandolfo is the biggest "why is he even being put on the ice" guy lately. Horton is probably the biggest. Lucic is on his off nights, which is quite often. Ference was the biggest for most of the season but he has seemed to turn it around.

Dude. Welcome. There's nothing I can say to express how difficult it has to be watching the face of your franchise in another jersey, except we've done it too. When Bourque left it was the end of an era. We were so happy for him to go get a cup that there's nothing we could do but be happy for him.

Don't you worry, we won't forsake him, he will be an instant hit here.

Was going to make this same thread, but I want more details if I'm going to be cheering for the Bruins.

Who do I need to follow on Twitter regarding Bruins? Writers, reporters, insiders, entertaining players etc?

Who are your top 10 prospects?

Does Seguin ever play center anymore?

What are your (our?) current positional needs? Defense? What other needs need to be addressed at deadline?

I'll enjoy having as many fans as possible to **** all over Montreal.

**** Montreal.

Flames fans, if you know only one thing about the Black & Gold, it's this: **** Montreal.

Daugavins is the answer to every question.

And Seguin could be moved to Center in the future, but for now he is staying with Bergy on the wing.

Follow Dominic Tiano, Kirk Luedeke (sp?), and Matt Kalman on twitter. I'd say they are the best. The first two occasionally post here (a bit less so recently unfortunately). Avoid Jimmy Murphy and Joe Haggerty. Murphy is garbage and Haggs is usually garbage when it comes to breaking stuff.

Fluto Shinzawa I believe is still our main beat writer. He is a solid writer.

Some of our bigger prospects include Ryan Spooner, Jared Knight, Malcolm Subban, Torey Krug, Niklas Svedberg, and Anthony Camara.

But most importantly, Daugavins

Well, I might as well state that I will be visiting your board more often, now that Iginla is a Bruin. I'll still be staying mostly to the Flames board, but you guys might see me here and there on game day. My only question is, do any of you expect Iggy to get an 'A' coming over to Boston?

That aside, I'm glad he's going to be in Boston - I was just in Boston last month and I loved it there. I hope Iginla has the same feelings for Boston that I do, and gives you guys as much heart and effort as he has given us over the years... Hell, I know he will. Good luck to you and your team in the playoffs, you've got (most of, imo) Calgary's support.

Seguin doesn't play much center and we need a top four defenseman and one would possibly also argue a bottom 6 forward.

-There is this great Bruins tweeter, @wketch22. Good looking guy too. But really... @dominictiano @kluedeke29 are pretty much the best.

Something like Subban, Knight, Spooner, Camara, Svedberg, Soderberg, Krug. Thats about it. A couple decent guys like Macdermaid and Warsofsky who probably won't ever really amount to much.

-Seguin is a winger at the moment, hasn't played center in a long ass time.

-We could probably use another defenseman. Injuries to Boychuk and McQuaid are making us pretty bare.

Im sure someone else can do a better job but yeah, thats a start

Flames are the only visiting team to clinch a Cup in the old Forum, IIRC. We know alllll about **** Montreal.

I'll probably be around here a bit. Should fit right in though, favorite forward ever other than Iggy is Cam Neely, and I'm a huge Sox fan.

Let's see Iggy raise the cup.

Welcome aboard! I wish the Flames all the best but I am so excited to have Iggy playing for the Bruins. I've been a big fan of him for a while and it's great to have him wearing the spoked B, I'm ordering a jersey too!

1. 1st line.
3. None currently.
3. Pandolfo (although I think it's a little unfair, he's not THE problem), Lucic at times, though lately he's been playing well so everyone has been quiet , and to a lesser extent, Horton.

Anyways, can't wait to see him here, I think he can really help turn things around for us. I'd love to see another cup and he really deserves one.

Love this thread. Iginla's always been my favorite non-Bruin. Can't even put into words how thrilled I am about this deal.

Welcome Flames fans!

So, I'm going to try this out, tell me how I do, okay? Be nice, this is my first time legitimately trying to cheer for another team.

I heard he was a hack.

For real though, newly acquired Flames fans, this is a good thread to find Bruins in the organization of the twittersphere.
