Wonder what Feaster's stance on a rebuild is now?

Enjoy the bottom, you shall be there for a while now hahahaha
His comments about the Oilers being lost in the desert seem rather comical right now. Not that Tambo isn't a screw up, but Feaster is managing to be even worse -- Jankowski, ROR, Iggy.

There has to be more to the deal. I can't fathom it otherwise.
what is the condition?

Bruins making the playoffs or the bruins GM not laughing his ass off in front of the TV camera thursday morning?

Not as bad of a deal as it's being made out to be here.

Iggy had a NMC and likely was demanding a trade to a contender. He's also UFA in a few months, and is nowhere near the player he used to be.

Not saying it's a great deal for the Flames, but Feaster had a gun to his head on this one.

A post on CP was just comprised of these two pictures. Laughed out loud. The expressions on their faces explain how this trade was completed.

Damn good deal for the Bruins. Who cares how much gas Iggy has left in the tank. Bruins are still in win now mode and Iggy helps in that regard. Rugged talented player thats hard to contain and will fit perfectly into the bruins lineup.

Really other than Pittsburgh I don't think anybody even has a chance against the Bruins now. Boston should go deep this year.

Nice rental.

The writings on the wall. All that is left are the press releases, trade call, NTC etc. paperwork and P.R. Although it sounds like the Flames might make it official on their behalf tonight, I can't see the Bruins viewing this as an opportune time at one in the morning to inform their public.

Seriously?
Hemsky doesn't even have half the value that Iginla does. Iginla is still a far more attractive asset even at his advanced age.
Don't let the return fool you, that's a really underwhelming return for Iginla.
Tambellini can't seem to find any takers for Hemsky.

I think Calgary could have done worse.
Maybe they could have. But tell me this. Would you rather have what the rumoured deal for this is.

Or what Pittsburgh gave up for Morrow?

Boston vs LA would be a heck of a final. Imagine the skill/size that could be on display there.

Although Chicago vs Pittsburgh would be an equally incredible final (probably a little better).

Boston vs. L.A. would be a borefest of epic proportions.
Agreed on Pittsburgh-Chicago, that would be incredible hockey.

Eric Francis just tweeted that the Flames have asked the media to stick around. Late night conference call.

I think Calgary could have done worse.
I watched him a fair share while he playing in Windsor. Very exciting player that has a tendency to disappear at times. I see his ceiling to be that of a Jiri Hudler oddly. I spoke a fair share and liked him as a second round selection in his draft year. I mentioned that on more than one occasion here. Top bad they couldn't get someone like Ryan Spooner or Jared Knight in this package.

What are your thoughts on Rutkowski?

Yeah, somehow those are the matchups that look like interesting series.

Not sure if LA will have enough hunger in the tank after winning last year. Repeating in playoffs is very difficult in cap era.

Chicago looks like they want it again, been a while for Pittsburgh. I think Boston needed to do a deal like this to make it interesting.

Montreal despite standings is going to end up being such an also ran.

For the Oilers, I take Joe Morrow.

But, generally speaking, I'd probably take the Iginla return.

I'd take Koko over Morrow and Bartkowski over a 3rd for 5th swap.

Boston vs LA would be an epic War and the battle of the last two cup champs. That would be damn good.

Both series Spawn mentioned would be. But if you like two really well coached teams at top of games it would be LA Boston for all the marbles. 7 games of that would be something else.

Yes, these details are not confirm/not final
We have to wait likely until tomorrow there could be other parts involved

Heck of a boring final. Barf.

What are the chances of Iginla signing with his hometown team after this season? Wouldn't that be nice?

Can't say I've seen Bartkowski() play.

Sounds like a decent 3rd pairing defenseman. Probably not much better than that. Heard someone comparing him to Chris Butler.
