Feel really bad for you guys.
Name one rental who was traded for an "elite prospect".

Why is everyone panicking? What do you expect for 15 game of Iggy??? I am very confident he comes back to Calgary, especially if he wins a cup.

this is like the most pointless argument ever. Iggy has a NMC. If he doesn't want to go to Boston then he can say no. It's not a modified NTC where he can list teams he will accept a trade to.

Again say we won't accept that we only have a valid offer from Boston and that fit his list don't let him choose between the 2.

Feaster said that they got three offers today during the course of the game - would another GM, unhappy about the deal on the table, not try and leverage what he's getting for a better deal if he doesn't like the one on the table?

There's nothing shady or wrong about this trade at all.

It sucs that Iginla flipped the script last minute, but that's his right, and the Flames didn't have to confirm the deal.
This is how I feel. You can't blame Iggy for Feaster pulling the trigger a week before the deadline. There was time to get a deal done.

I can't understand why the Flames have the worst luck. I bet some ******* in 89 sold his soul to the illuminati and we're paying for it. I'm sorry, given Iggy's calibre, this is one of the worse trades in NHL history.

Where do you see 2-3 years? From what I've read and heard, sounds like they are both closer to the NHL than not (Buttons words). And the first is in a very deep draft.. Not to mention, this is a PURE rental trade for Pitts.. Wtf were you expecting? Khoko projects to be a 2nd liner and Bartkowski a bottom pairing guy.

Again he said all 4 were good with him, so either he lied to the team, the list was wrong, or Feaster let him know that all 3 teams had offers he would accept. Knowing Feaster and his 'intellectual honesty' he did the last.

Put yourself in Iginla's shoes.

You know you are getting traded tonight to either the Pens or Boston, with the intention of winning the Stanley Cup with that team. Pens are on a 13 game winning streak, meanwhile the Bruins are blowing a game against Montreal. That game ends and Feaster calls you up and wants to trade you to Boston. What do you tell him?

We know what Iginla told him... now can you blame him?

Then Iggy doesn't accept the trade, and walks for nothing in the offseason. We'd all be thrilled with Feaster then, especially when asked about the deadline Feaster would say "we had a deal with Pittsburgh, but it wasn't good enough. Our best option was to sit on our hands, do nothing, and get nothing in return."

Yeah, that'd go over well.

The pens had the best chance before Iggy, Murray and Morrow. I've never been happier for Iggy

Yes but if Iggy said no I only want Pitts then fine, but that is not how tsn reported it at all.

I don't see Hanowski sticking in the NHL if he makes it.

I think it's a little fickle and foolish to think that Iginla made that decision based on a single night's results across the NHL.

More than likely it had to do with the fact that he's played with Crosby before, and figured he'd be a more prominent player in Pittsburgh than in Boston (some Bruins fans were tweeting that they expected him to play on the third line?)

Or that, of course, he just simply felt Pittsburgh are better than Boston?

Whatever the reason, I'd rather he chose the Pens than the Bruins.

Both are out producing him too, but he was a rare late bloomer.

If it wouldn't get me banned I'd be starting a poll for people to see if posters in this thread are more annoyed with Feaster or trying to explain it to Hudlinator.

Im a little confused at the fans that are saying that this was a stupid decision by feaster. Don't we wanna be a younger club? I think we did that tonight. I dont know, i think its a low risk move.

You know, despite my heartbreak this evening, the whole turn of events is really quite humerous. Watching Wardo announce Boston was the winner live on TV and everyone getting settled with that idea then all of a sudden the rug is pulled up from under everyone really makes the impact easier to absorb.

Haha oooh Wardo!

, we see it 2 different ways. I apologize for acting as aggressive as I did but I don't see how you can blame Iggy for picking Pitts over Boston when given the choice.
