Don't you know? Scrubs like Subban and Suter wouldn't even be in the discussion so much Karlsson is above them. Good thing Karlsson wasn't playing with the 70's or Bobby Orr wouldn't have a single Norris.

The Karlsson overrating has gotten ridiculous. Ottawa fans are blatantly lying about his made-up sheer dominance and flawless two-way play. I haven't seen a fanbase try so hard at pumping their player's tires in a long time. He was good, but not on a whole different level like so many Ottawa fans try to make everyone believe. They literally called him elite in his own end when he's really not close to being on that level. He's average to good on D.

Also why is Chara so high ranked ? He hasnt played very good this year and everytime he faces the Habs he does the dumbest things ever...
Bruins players seem to take games vs Montreal personal, and it seems to effect their play. Not sure why, but you can tell by some of their poor play, and post game comments.

IMO most of the Boston core players came together around 07-08, Lucic, Krejci, Chara, Ference etc and at that time the Canadiens beat the Bruins something like 13 games in a row, so maybe that is why.

The fact that Montreal Coaching staff started Subban off on the 3rd pairing, and getting 18-20 early in the year might cost him.

Because if you look at the stat sheet in all of Mtl big games, vs Boston, vs Pitts, etc Subban is player 26+min

But Suter has played a ton and after a slow start, he is playing great.

Maybe you should see the Norris thread where a billion of your buddies hijacked it for 10 pages to state how Karlsson would be the runaway candidate if he was still playing.

It is ironic, as a Preds fan, to see a Habs fan talk about a "popularity contest" in regards to a poll pitting Ryan Suter versus PK Subban.

Really?? Suter is more popular than PK Subban? Hahahahah

Yeah I still hate (in a sports fan kind of way) Ryan Suter, but I take him. Subban is a great player. It isn't a slight against him. A vote for Suter is not a vote for Subban as a bad player. Suter has been doing it for a long time now, and he keeps getting better. Subban has been doing it for a short time now, and he keeps getting better.

I take the one who has a longer track record of success, thanks. And Suter is not very popular with me at the moment.

Honestly Suter is really impressing me i knew he was good but being on a paring with Weber it's hard to prove to everyone you're elite to

he's stepping up for the Wild maybe he'll be worth that contract afterall

The problem is a lot of fans in Canada get their opinions from the kuckledraggers on HNIC, and those guys basically creamed all over concerning Karlsson's play earlier this year.

The minute I take Glenn Healey and PJ Stock's opinion over my own is the day I sign myself into the looney bin.

BTW, I wouldn't trade Subban for Suter straight up but I can understand votes for either.

It's funny, Suter seemed a bit unsure on where the right place to sign as a free agent. In his interviews after signing with the Wild, I even got the impression that he wasn't sure he made the right choice...now I bet he's thrilled with the decision he's made. He comes across in interviews now so much more comfortable and confident it's crazy!

Anyways

Suter. Subban's been excellent, however Suter has been better this season, IMO. Voted him and the final push over the edge was average TOI.

Ryan Suter is having a phenomenal season, and I assume most those Subban votes are from Canadiens fans. Subban is doing great, but Suter has the edge.

You of course realize that you are the one who sidetracked this conversation to be about Karlsson, right?

Anyways, Karlsson is lightyears better than Subban so there's no need for me to really get defensive.

Good luck to your buddy in winning the Norris* this year.
