Anyways, Karlsson is lightyears better than Subban so there's no need for me to really get defensive.

Good luck to your buddy in winning the Norris* this year.
What you did there, I seen it.

For this season only.Have to give the edge to P.K.
P.K. has 3 less point in 5 less games played
P.K. is a plus 9 Suter is a plus 2
But this gives the edge to P.K. 9 goals for P.K compared to 2 goals for Suter.

If points was the only criteria for a good season by a defenseman... sure I'd agree, but it's not. Also, Suter is a +2 now after he started out a -7 through the first 10 games. That tells you how much his game has turned around since then as well.

Suter is getting underrated. he should have easily captured more than 64.6% of the vote. it's a shame really.

First it was Luke Schenn >>> Subban

Then it was "Alright, Subban might be better than Schenn, but Tyler Myers is better than him, AINEC!".

After that it was "Subban is weak in his own zone and isn't even that good offensively. Marc Staal is so much better than him it's not even funny!".

And then "Subban is in no way a true #1 defenseman. He's a good #2 at best on a contender. He'd be on the 2nd pair in Boston".

Shortly followed by "McDonagh has the potential to be a Norris contender. He's just so steady in his own zone. Probably already top 10 defensively. Definitely better than Subban!".

Followed by "Subban is holding out for more money. I wouldn't trade Wayne Simmonds for him. He's a cancer"

And finally "Suter has been sooo much better this season. Subban shouldn't win the Norris".

All of that in a timespan of roughly 2 years. There's no need to argue with other fanbases around the league about how good Subban is and how deserving of the Norris he is. They will figure it out by themselves at some point. People always see what they want to see, and Suter is the popular pick when it comes to the Norris.

Voted Suter.

But it's just a popularity contest, right?

The fact he was widely regarded as a top 5 defenseman for the last few years certainly doesn't hurt, believe it or not. Also the fact he is of the quiet type, much like OEL or Pietrangelo, while Subban is the definition of a polarizing player. The Habs may have one of the biggest fan base out there, but it doesn't change the fact Subban is one of the most hated player around the league, whereas most people don't really care about Suter.

Subban will get the respect he deserves in due time, but it may cost him the Norris this season.

While you guys were like Subban > Karlsson
Subban > Doughty

Etc.

If you watched more hockey you would know that while he could be in the discussion, he shouldn't win it this year.

A quick look at who voted for who tells the story of this thread.

Well Subban has been better than Doughty this year. And if it weren't for Doughty's playoffs last season, one could argue Subban has been better than him ever since 2010-2011, so I guess we weren't that wrong.

Subban is also producing at a higher clip than Karlsson before he got injured, and not too far from his pace of last season, while being the superior two-way defenseman.

But hey, I'm sure you watched at least 80 games of Suter, and Karlsson, and Doughty, and Chara, and Subban and everybody else so you know what you're talking about.

So many Habs haters. Its funny.

If PK played for the Wilds and Suter for MTL, the results would be in favor of PK..

Everybody know its the truth.

Just remember how Subban lost to defenseman like Schenn, Del Zotto, etc.

And Staal and McDonagh and Cowen and Myers and Shattenkirk and Phaneuf and Byfuglien (yes, even this year, lmao) and even Thomas Hickey...

Whatever, he is the best dman in the East this year.

Everyone West can claim that Suter is better,

we all know with the calender this year, nobody saw both players play the majority of the year.

Suter was again the best player on the ice for the Wild in their comeback skill competition victory over the kings.

Over 28mins TOI, 1 assist and a +2 on the night.

Subban had 3 points last night, best player on the ice for either team. By far.

Price was the best player on the ice for both teams last night, not even debatable.

Best goalie performance I've seen in quite a while. Subban was subpar compared to the rest of his season.

Are you saying the Ranger is an AHL team and the 3 assists that Subban collected should not count? Suter's fans boys are getting ridiculous by the minute.

Yeah because the Subban fanboys aren't absurdly hyping him up or anything like that...
