Nearly a half season proves nothing to you

Well then there's no pleasing you. So go away and stop quoting every single post in this thread and posting the exact same thing. What do you have like 10 posts on this one page alone? Several of them consecutive posts? Get a life jeez

I feel better that we don't have a river boat gambler at the helm.

"Involved", yes, final say, no.

Please stop quoting that guy. Leafs played great last night despite the blown lead. The fact we came back so strong when it was 3-2 canes shows how much we've matured as a team. We've never rolled over this year without a fight. I can't say that about last season.

After the first half of last season, with mainly the same squad, ehhh. no.

Please put me on ignore, it will make your day a better one.

It's what he does but it does not refer entirely to his post. I think the section you should draw your attention to is "loose claim"

It does not say whether I think he is wrong. In fact, I think he is likely pretty close to right but it does not exempt him from doing the empirical research when making such blatant claims.

CAR
FLA
TBL
NYI
BUF
PHI
MON

Only one is a playoff team. I'm sure It's just a sample size thing but its funny to me.
only on a maple leafs board would we be complaining that one of our players only scores against non playoff teams. How about when we are playing the playoff teams and he is playing 27-28 minutes a night against their top line with an AHL dman as a partner, he's not concerned about scoring and trying to concentrate on his job.

Stop trying to belittle his accomplishments. If you dont like him thats your perogitive
but dont try to justify the hate by bringing up useless stats. Does stamkos only score goals against playoff teams/

3 points out from NE. that's freaking amazing. So proud of the Blue and White.

So what parts of the team do you like?
Burkes coach Carlyle?
Burkes all star ppg winger lupul?
Burkes two time all star ppg over 150 games without missing a single game Kessel heis now 13th in scoring
Burkes multiple time all star phaneuf?
Burkes waiver wire pickup turned 20 goal 50 point assisant captain?
Burkes first ever pick Kadri who is top 9 in scoring as a 22 year old

Burkes 25 year old 6 foot 5 defenceman who is top 18 in d scoring and only cost Leda?
Colton Orr, Frazier mclaren, 26 year old mark Fraser?

Burkes ufa free wallet scrivens or bozak or how bout Reimer? Everyone wanted him gone, Burke a
Believed in him

So seriously what do you like about the team?

I dont think burke got fired because of what you state above. In my opinion he is ultimately responbsible for the product that is on the ice. I believe, and with no evidence of this only what i have read, the reason he was fired was he would have done the trade with vancouver and nonis thought this was a mistake. burke would have traded bozak kadri and whatever draft pick to van for luongo and that is why he was fired

Major sports leagues actually do book around each other, especially major events. It's why Hockey Day in America is after the Super Bowl / NFL season is done. It's why NHL games on Sundays are more frequent after the NFL is done.

So, I wouldn't be overly surprised if they noticed it was the MLB's season start and booked accordingly.

That's a tad harsh haha

It was a fun game last night. We were all over them in the first and got burned on the few chances Carolina had in the second.
