Martin could be skating in 3 weeks to stay active with the team and building hand strength. I don't see it as being too much of an issue. He will be fully healthy and dominant for the postseason.

Building this lead was VERY important.

It could be worse IRT our D. Take a look at what Philly is sending over the boards today.

Flyers’ defense pairs are Timonen-Gervais, Lauridsen-Schenn, Gustafsson-Foster. Good luck to you, Ilya Bryzgalov, and godspeed.

Yikes...

I guess this is what happens when you gut your prospect pool and don't bring in veteran defensemen 8 or 9 deep.

Yeah, better an upper-body injury than one that precludes him from skating. At least he can keep his legs in skating shape while he recovers.

He's starting on Geno's line. But I kind of agree - If I were Sid I would pitch a fit. But that's why he's a better person than I am.

I doubt it. He likes playing with Kunitz and Dupuis.

Yeah good points. Well, fingers crossed he'll be good to go before too long and back to his recent form. We need him.

I hate Rossi because he tries to be "cool" like that. I love that someone can be so wrong and still have a job. He's more wrong than the people who do Pittsburgh weather.
