Yup, he's damaged goods....we already have that in Jovo and Whitney, but without the "goods" part.

We're getting pretty stocked on young D as is. Space will be a problem. No sense on using assets on someone who may not crack the line up.

Petrovic
Matherson
Raccine
Olsen
Gudbranson

That's just in the next 2 years.

Not sure where to put this, but Drouin got hit pretty bad by fellow TB prospect Adam Erne and is out with concussion-like symptoms.

Yes that is Panther prospect Mac Weegar coming in for Drouin's defense. What is unbelievable is Erne's post-game comments:
Quote:
“He wasn’t far from the boards and I pushed him pretty hard,” said Erne, who also received a game misconduct for the hit. “I thought it was a dive and I thought everybody else did, too. I wouldn’t have even gotten a penalty if he didn’t dive into the boards.”

He also said that Drouin could have absorbed the hit standing up, and avoided injury.

“If he dives and goes head first he’s going to hurt himself,” added Erne, who also knocked Murphy out of the game with a shoulder on shoulder check before stealing the puck and scoring the game’s first goal.
Glad the Cats passed on Erne, this guy seems like a real future headcase.

Good for Weegar sticking up like that, wasted no time.

That's gonna be an awkward prospect camp.

Erne should get 5 games.

wow. missed all that. first orpik hit looked like a good clean hit. neal??? that should be the long suspension. targeting the head with a knee? talk about cowardly. thornton should and will sit but if you could punish based on intention, neal would/should sit longer. what a d**che canoe.

what thornton did, outside of the slewfoot, is nothing different from what ference does regularily in edmonton... forces people that dont want to "fight", stempniak fight was a disgrace and when he jumped upshall, apparently one defending himself and not throwing punches is a fight

Thorton got an in person meeting so looking at over 6 never been suspended. Neal who has been suspended before gets a phone interview. NHL wheel o' Justice strikes again.

Yeah, what Neal did was way dirtier than Winchester's elbow. Watch him only get 3 games. There's just something about Neal that rubs me the wrong way.

Neal and Thorton were both horrific, but Thornton i would happily prosecute for criminal assault.

Isles waived Pierre-Marc Bouchard. In final year of 5 year deal - 2 mill cap hit/salary.

Edit: Misread CapGeek...signed as a UFA to 1-year deal 2 mill. Finished 5 year deal prior to that.

I think he would help the PP quite a bit, to be honest. Not sure what else he would bring though.

Apparently he is a playmaking winger, pass first guy. Good hands but his concussions have made him a pretty soft, perimeter guy.

He would still be an upgrade on this team though, definitely top6 playmaking ability and vision.

based on those angles, he probably deserved 10 games. if marchand had been seriously hurt, i bet there would've been a hearing. haven't heard anything on thornton yet.

Neal just lines up his leg and makes that slight correction to hit Marchand right in the head. 5 games was too soft IMO.

Isles just lost their 10th straight. How their coach or Snow still have a job is mind boggling.
