Zibanejad was the first one on the ice, almost the last one to leave. I think we have a special player here. You can tell he loves being on the ice.

BTW, some of you also noticed how Zibby is always cracking up when Tender says something. These two seem to have a very special bond, they're always together on the ice. Latendresse looks like a very good and funny teammate.

The new nickname for the 33-93-73? Two swedes and a meatball.
Latendresse said he was definitely one of the swede...

Alfi is still the king at playing keepaway. There is no way this guy is retiring.

MacLean's drills are awesome. Lots of skating, transitions and breakouts. It was also fun to see how involved Mark Reeds is in all the drills.
SHhhhhhh!

Anderson may not be ready til the playoffs according to Paul (*COUGH driving up Bishop's value COUGH*)

Honestly though, this was a game I would want Lehner playing because the mixed crowd, the atmosphere, etc. seems like the environment where he would up his game.

Plus Bishop hasn't looked so hot against the Leafs.

I know it's my own fault for browsing the Leafs GDT, but what is it with Neil haters? It's as if they black out every time he steps up and fights one of their big goons. No recollection of Neil getting the better of Orr last game, back to the same old "Neil's a coward, Neil's gonna duck so-and-so".

Anyway, should be a good one, can't wait!

Buddy, Leaf's fans are not hockey fans. Please don't get confused. They know little about hockey.

Still though

No spoilers please! A friend of mine has read four of the books and won't shutup about them so I'd appreciate if people didn't spoil any of the upcoming stuff.

I couldn't stand reading the first book myself, I didn't enjoy the writing at all.

Spoiler:

Tons of stuff that happens in the show doesn't happen in the books! Lets hope season three stays a bit more towards the source material.

On an Ottawa note just watched the interview with Gui before the game and it looks like that line is having a ton of fun playing together.

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I saw they were selling "The Galls" tickets in 400L suites for 56$ a ticket.. not to sure where that is exactly.

He was actually cut on the thigh. I don't know if there's kevlar protection there.

There isn't. The point remains though, its silly to blame players for not wearing them. Its obviously going to become more common. I doubt it would have helped Neil in that situation. Maybe in Bieksa or Karlsson's case but doubtful there. Same thing with visors, Crosby just got a puck to the face and he wears one. Just put everybody in a bubble.

I find they dont look good on TV. The numbers are hard to see. Black as the main colour is so boring, takes away from the team colour.

Hey guys, Leaf fan coming in peace. I have Neil in fantasy (I needed hits and PIMs) and was wondering if he will go tonight? I got this message on Yahoo in his news update:

"Neil will play Saturday against Toronto.
Recommendation: Neil caught a skate-blade from New York's Anton Stralman in the ankle Thursday night. Neil left the game for a bit, but returned and notched two points. It's unlikely you're playing him, but if you are, you'll be glad to know he isn't going to be sidelined after the cut.
(Rotowire.com)"

Any word from your end?

He showed up late for the practice skate and left almost as soon as he showed up

I'd be surprised he if he plays but I was surprised he came back last game: he's one tough cookie!
