I am on the road but had to pull my laptop out to give you serious kudos CanadianHockey fantastic GDT and so happy to see a Game of Thrones theme, hope it's the playoff theme for the Senators. Job very well done my lord I look forward to a Lannister beat down....Even if they do always pay their debts. 2CHHHAAAIIINNNZZ

Bishop is getting the start, right? I know he's been great, but for some reason, I prefer Lehner against Toronto.

I've gotta work tonight from 7:45 'till 9:00....hopefully I'll come home to a scoreless tie in the 3rd and see the Sens score a quick three to demoralize our provincial inferiors.

Sorry, but I would rather hit them early and often. Suck the life out of them.

For those wondering about the theme choices, Game of Thrones starts up tomorrow, and the playoff implications of games like this (Sens regulation win gives us a four point cushion, but a regulation loss puts us tied for points with the Leafs) worked well with the Winter is Coming theme in GoT.

Ottawa is House Stark because a) we're the northernmost market (aside from perhaps Edmonton), b) we're generally seen as the protagonists; the underdogs that many are pulling for, c) the injuries parallel the deaths and misfortunes that hit the Starks hard.

Toronto as House Lannister because a) the Leafs suit well with the Lannister's propensity for being dominant economic players, b) King Joffrey... and Joffrey Lupul. Both are sadists, evidenced in multiple gifs of Lupul tugging at his Leafs logo at the all star game like he was proud of it or something c) the sense of entitlement and elitism in Leafs nation parallels the sense of entitlement and elitism of House Lannister, d) they have a lot of haters.

Leaf fans, don't take this post seriously, and Sens fans, I didn't actually put this amount of thought into the GDT, I'm just good at pulling **** out of my ass.

I am so not enthused for the game tonight. Then again, I never am when it comes to the Laffs coming into SBP.

Good news! I bought alcohol, so I will be celebrating this game in my usual way. I may or may not get hilarious during the course of this GDT

Are there only two teams in the league?

It was interesting to hear them mention the Sens points coming in the PP without mentioning how few power plays they get.

Maclean said when it was mentioned how efficient the Sens were on the power play
that they got so few they had to be efficient.

I am sure it was a surprise to him when he got here to see that the calls were not quite the same as he might have been used to with the Wings.

I guess he's used to it now.

Ottawa dead last in the league in PP to PK ratio:

PP to PK ratio will look worse for us than it actually is because we score a lot on the PP (so we don't get to the full 2 minutes on a lot of our PPs) and we usually kill the full 2 minutes (so we usually get the full 2 minutes for our PKs).
